You got it! (Well, the first song at least...I'm still working on the second one.)

By the way, I saw your fansubs! I was really excited to see my translations in action! Thanks!

But yeah, here's the next song as requested by GTO! I hope you guys like it!

“Ki ni naru tenkousei” – “The exchange student on my mind”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    My first impression of you
A boy who doesn’t stand out
    New Year’s Eve came
A bad exchange student at that time

    The desk next to me
    Was empty
By turn of events, you sat next to me
    (Are you serious?)
    Even though I was never
    Conscientious of it,
    Naturally
It was the start of a talk
    Why? Why?
    (Are you ready yet?)

Gradually, you grew to be on my mind
    You’re one of those guys,
    Aren’t you?
By no means is this different from a romance
    A mysterious heartthrob
Gradually, you grew to be on my mind
    This sort of feeling
    Is rare
Up until now, my type didn’t exist
I tide over a little boredom

    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!

    A throbbing growth to adulthood
I don’t know the profile of your face
Even though I steal a glance inside of your chest
    A quiet exchange student

    You’re wearing
    Contact lenses, right?
    It’s all good, but…
    (I’m sorry)
    We’re using
    The same mechanical pencil, right?
    By the way…
I wonder, do you have a girlfriend?
    Even so…even so…
    (Are you ready now?)

Gradually, I grew to like you
    Interest brings up love
    Trembling, I want to know
    More about you
Gradually, I grew to like you
    Beyond what I expected,
I want to be next to you more than anyone else
Perhaps this is just a whim, right?

    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!

Gradually, you grew to be on my mind
    You’re one of those guys,
    Aren’t you?
By no means is this different from a romance
    A mysterious heartthrob
Gradually, you grew to be on my mind
    This sort of feeling
    Is rare
Up until now, my type didn’t exist
I tide over a little boredom

    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!
    Everyday, Yay! Yay!

Here's another translation! I hope you guys like it!

“Haru ga kuru mada” – “Until spring comes”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    White and piled up
    After last night’s snow
    If I walk softly,
Crunch, crunch, crunch go my shoes
    This morning’s blue sky
Always along the road to school
    For some reason, this town
    Shimmers

    A heart’s detour
    I can’t say that I like you
That time when I think about you
    The road’s shade continues
Even if the furrow is painful…

    Until spring comes
    Without it disappearing,
    I hid this affection
    Until spring comes
    Sticking around,
    This feeling lays on thick
    Romance’s snow
More beautiful than the bygone days
    In this way…

The wind has yet to stop
    My cheeks are chilly
I raise the color of my coat
    And fix my muffler
    The season now
    You’re next to me
    In the same class
    An ordinary friend

I wonder if we can meet somewhere
Along the road where the camellias bloom
    Surely on purpose
I brusquely seem to say, ‘Good morning’
With a smile inside my chest

If I can confess to you
    Even though it’s easy
    I can’t convey the words
If I can confess to you
    Tomorrow comes
    Even now in the corner
    Romance’s snow
    If you can notice it,
    Wouldn’t it be nice?

    Until spring comes
    Without it disappearing,
    I hid this affection
    Until spring comes
    Sticking around,
    This feeling lays on thick
    Romance’s snow
More beautiful than the bygone days
    In this way…

I liked this song for a while, but never really knew the title until I translated this song. Some parts were tricky, but I think (or rather I hope) I ironed out the kinks nicely.

But yeah, here's the next translation! I hope you guys like it!

“Junai no Crescendo” – “Pure Love’s Crescendo”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    Drops of love
    By only being able
    To give just one,
    Like a withered heart
    Breathing,
    A woman opens up

In a town where the rain doesn’t stop,
    Forgotten affection
    Is a sudden evening shower

    Shall we call out?
This evening, it’s okay if I’m held
    As I’m dripping wet
    Development will depend on that…
This evening, it’s okay if I’m held
I went everything to be taken off
    Pure love’s crescendo

    The reason we loved
    We once lost
    A jigsaw puzzle, right?
    Even though that’s a lie,
    In my arms
    A man sleeps

    The red neon window
    Masks us
    Earnestness is a passing shower

If we can forgive each other…
For one night, I only want to dream
To the point where I kill you
One way or another, it seems to become that way …
For one night, I only want to dream
    You make a monologue
    Desire’s crescendo

The end result that nobody knows
We fall into it from here on out
A flash of lightning pointed to it

    Shall we call out?
This evening, it’s okay if I’m held
    As I’m dripping wet
    Development will depend on that…
This evening, it’s okay if I’m held
I went everything to be taken off
    Pure love’s crescendo

    Desire’s crescendo

I expected this song to have a more somber and sentimental feel to it when I was translating it, but apparently the actual song seems to be more up-beat. *shrugs*

But yeah, here's the next translation! I hope you guys like it!

    “Kikyou” – “Homecoming”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    This one road
    That continues to someplace
After a long time, let’s try walking along it
    Beneath the blue sky
    Near where the distant mountains
    And countryside meet,
    Is my hometown

    I carried on dreaming
Time in this town went by fast
There wasn’t enough time to remember it all

    Oh, I’m sorry
    For making you worry
    I couldn’t send a reply
    To the letters
    I received from my mom…
    Oh, I’m sorry
    Somehow, I’m getting along
    As I gazed
    Outside the window
    Hundreds of times,
    I complained

    That smell of the wind
And the murmuring of the river
All of it’s become so nostalgic
    This vast land
Where I was born and raised
I’ve come back to this place,
    And now I understand
    My origins

    I’m still dreaming
    Everyone is a traveler
They just want to try going into the unknown future

    Oh, thank you
Up until today you did your best
    From my dad
    A sudden phone call
I was forgetting his strictness and kindness
    Oh, thank you
From here on out I’ll do my best
    No matter when,
    You were my supporter
    Through the building’s cracks
    Is my hometown’s sky

    Oh, happiness
From tomorrow onward, I’ll still walk
    Even though we’re separated,
    Inside my chest
    This road is always continuing
    Oh, happiness
    I’m watched over by everyone
    Surely, even now
    I’m not alone
    If I look back,
    There’s my hometown’s sky

    If I look back,
    There’s my hometown’s sky

for the last line (欲望のクレッシェンド), it's "yokubou no KURESSHENDO".
so i think its meaning not "Pure love's crescendo" but my guess is something like "Desired crescendo".
    anyone can correct me. :)

^ Oh snap, you're right! Well, I think the line would be "Desire's crescendo" rather than "Desired crescendo," but I do agree that I did make a mistake. I saw the "KURESSHENDO" part of the last two lines and thought they were the same. Thanks for point that out!

I made the appropriate correction in my post here at the forum, and I sent you a Word Document with the correction for your lyrics website.

    Thanks again!

Well, I remember first attempting to translate this song early in my translating career, but got stuck on some of the locations since I haven't been to the Akihabara district of Japan - or to Japan for that matter - and I essentially stocked it away to collect dust. However, this song was requested, so I had to brush away the dust and sharpen my google-fu; and with some help from a former Japanese teacher of mine, I managed to complete it. Hopefully, I didn't get any of the locations wrong.

I personally thought of "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies and "Hook" by Blues Traveler when I was translating this song, since the substance for all three songs was in chorus - the verses pretty much are nonsensical in comparison.

If I find the time, I'll try posting a list of short descriptions for all of the locations mentioned in the song. And yeah, my 700th post!

But yeah, without further ado, here's the next song as requested by GTO some time back! I hope you guys like it!

    “AKB48”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    As for my dear Akiba,
    There’s Ishimaru, Sofmap
    Onoden, Rocket
    And Sato Musen
    Older guys also, Walk! Walk!
    There’s Don Quixote
    Casually casual Juujiya
    That over there’s Radio Department
    Palette Town is there (there?)
    Stylish older girls, too
    Mitsuwa Denki
    Bless, Otto, T-Zone
    Tsukumo, and UDX

    Akihabara48
    All of us
    You can come meet
    More than anyone else
    You’ll grow to love us
    Please
    Right? Right?
    So Akihabara48
    All of us
    You can come meet
At this place, because we’re chasing after a dream,
    Please support us

    The fun Akiba
    Has Volks Jupiter,
    Lammtara, Orekon
    And Solid Theater
On weekdays as well, Heave ho! Heave ho!
    Kaiyodo
    Line up! Line up!
    @Home Café
    That over there’s Radio Kaikan
    Akibaoo also is popular
    Rakuda, Bukiya, Super Potato
    And Treasure Market Place
    Run! Tsukaba Express

    Akihabara48
    If you look once,
    You can’t stop
    Again tomorrow
    Will you come see us?
    Surely
    Come on! Come on!
    So Akihabara48
    If you look once,
    You can’t stop
    You’ll definitely remember my name
    It’s a promise, right?

Now, this song was a bit of joke/easy job for me since it's just a collection of small portions of lyrics I've translated in the past. I just had to make minor modifications to accommodate for the formating of the Japanese lyrics.

But yeah, here's the next translation! I hope you guys like it!

    “Medley”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

“Aitakatta” – “I wanted to meet you”

I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!
I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!
    You…

On my bike with all my strength, I pedal
    And climb this hill
Even with the blowing wind against my shirt,
    I’m still not fast enough

    At last I noticed
    My true feelings
I want to go on honestly
On this one and only road
    I run!

If it’s love, then say it’s love
Without the façade, let’s just be honest
If it’s love, then say it’s love
From inside our chest, let’s be earnest about it

I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!
I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!
    I wanted to meet you!

    “Dear my teacher”

Please don’t gaze at me with those eyes
    Won’t something begin?
    Invitation without words is sneaky

Why have you been hesitating lately?
    With your arms crossed
    Surely you’re in deep trouble
Because of the way you treat me

    Hey, slowly
Let’s think about the two of us
Hey, aren’t we just a “Guy-Girl-Thing” in this world?
    With just a simple answer
    Even I’ll soon understand

    Kiss me BABY!
    Kiss me BABY!
    Hold a broken thing close
    With a textbook method
Isn’t it okay to teach me?
    Kiss me BABY!
    Kiss me BABY!
    Anyway, I’ll soon experience
    My first partner
    Dear dear my teacher!

“Sakura no hanabira tachi” – “All the cherry blossom petals”

Each time the cherry blossom petals bloom,
    Somewhere hope’s bell resounds
    With the freedom of tomorrow,
    We are given courage
Each time the cherry blossom petals bloom,
    Somewhere someone is praying
The door to a new world, we open with our own hands

The petals of our tears go pitter-patter
Onto these cheeks they come out, flow, and fall
As we look up to the blue sky
    And breathe in deeply
The petals of our tears go pitter-patter
The memory of that part makes me happy
The stairs to adulthood before our eyes, together we climb and wave our hands

    “Skirt, Hirari” – “Skirt Flutters”

With coincidental mischief, I passed closely by you
    You make my heart stop
And I’ve intentionally ignored you far too long

Why am I such a fool? Even though I like you like that,
I trap myself in self-disgust, alone among the crowd at the train station

    For a sudden moment,
There is a lasting regret and pain
    Please God, once more
    Can You reset time?

    As for a girl,
There’s a time when her skirt flutters and waves
    And she wants to run
Everything is thrown away as she heads for love
Each time she falls in love
    Her skirt flitters and waves
Like a fire ignited in her heart
    No matter what we do
    We’ll be forgiven during puberty

    “AKB48”

    Akihabara48
All of us, you can come meet
More than anyone else, you’ll grow to love us
    Please
    Right? Right?
    So Akihabara48
All of us, you can come meet
At this place, because we’re chasing after a dream,
    Please support us

    Akihabara48
Akihabara48 (I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!)
Akihabara48 (I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!)
Akihabara48 (I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!)
Akihabara48 (I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!)
Akihabara48 (I wanted to meet you, I wanted to meet you, Yes!)

“Kimi ga oshiete kureta” – “You told me”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    You told me, right?
With that over there, the Orion constellation
    Shining along the night sky
The two of us bid farewell on that day

    Whatever face you make,
    It seems to say, Goodbye
    The whiteness of your breath
Without pain, you simply held me

    So long!
    At the pedestrian bridge
    Miss you!
    To those particular stairs
    So long!
    Turn back
    And believe in the happiness…

    You told me, right?
    This unchanging feeling
    For little bit, you smile
In the end, you wave your hand
    In a dimmed gaze,
My tears are the stars lined up
Looking like that Orion constellation over there
The two of us become eternal

    Softly murmur
    The bad one was me
    Love’s closeness
Without noticing it, we passed by each other

    So sad!
    Below I run
    Love you!
    Like a taxi
    So sad!
    The time is a flow
We were forgetting at our feet

    You forgave me, right?
    For the future I chose…
Even if that was a mistake,
    You’re silent and simply nod
    The heart’s night sky
    Softly as it looks back
Looking like that Orion constellation over there
    You’ll find me sparkling

    You told me, right?
    This unchanging feeling
    For little bit, you smile
In the end, you wave your hand
    In a dimmed gaze,
My tears are the stars lined up
Looking like that Orion constellation over there
The two of us become eternal

Okay, this one song was REALLY HARD to translate. For one thing, there were words and grammars that I wasn't too familiar with. Another thing was that this song's been translated before, so I had to work extra had to not only make sense of the song, but to also make my translation unique from the others - and one of the others was damn good to begin with, making my task even more challenging. Tag on the fact that the song was released as a single, and it all adds up to one heck of an endeavor for me. However, I think I did an okay job in the end.

But yeah, without further ado, here's the translation! I hope you guys like it!

“Keibetsu shiteita aijou” – “Disdained Affection”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideo123

    The TV news even conveys
    A tragedy protected by anonymity
As ordinarily as I type out characters
    In my cell phone mail

Adults make a face as though they know it all
    While looking for motives
    Their analysis is off point
    A gag you can’t laugh

With rank based off of deviation values,
    The future is decided
Even if we try our best,
It’s something that we can’t do about
    Long ago
We were only made aware of it
    All of us

    Disdained affection
    Unknowingly I’m searching
I don’t want to be so lonely
    I wanted to be held
    By somebody…

The girl who was about to become a bird
Properly lined up her shoes on the rooftop
Did she want to be praised for her good manners?
    Or was it an insinuation?

Now, even if we take a survey
As to whether or not there was bullying,
The voice of the heart that wanted to be heard
    Won’t reach through the wind

With a process of shifting responsibility,
Celebrated people are made to cry
    Still we don’t understand
    This too-foolish connection…
    The one pointing fingers,
    Who didn’t do a thing,
    Is myself

    Disdained affection
    Even though I was hungry,
With a façade to hide my anxiety over it,
I was looking for a kind eye
    Always…

    Disdained affection
    Unknowingly I’m searching
I don’t want to be so lonely
    I wanted to be held
    By somebody…

    Always…

Whoa, weird! I was totally listening to AKB48 (the song) in the car yesterday and wondering if anyone had requested a translation of this song before since I was curious about it, and here it is!

And, I never even bothered really checking the lyrics before, but they DO actually sing "Super Potato!" That wasn't my mind playing tricks on me every time I heard it. Makes a lot more sense now that I get the gist of the song.

But thank you for translating these as usual!

    You got it!

This song was actually really tricky to translate, so it took a while to finally complete it. I asked a former Japanese teacher of mine, and even she thought some of the lines were tough. Nevertheless, the song translation should be okay.

But yeah, here's the translation as requested by Sanae! I hope you guys like it!

    “Mr. Kissman”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

Beneath (Beneath) the night (the night)
Is a fish of dancing romance
In a mini dress (In a mini dress)
I seem to be in that mood, though I’m probably not…
Just like (just like) a wave (a wave)
    A mirror ball spins
By all of (By all of) the men (the men)
I seem enticed, but I’m not
    Now somebody
    From behind
    Came close
    Who are you?

    Whether or not love’s there,
    You brush it aside
    Rascal rascal rascal Kissman!
    By Mr. Scattered,
With the feeling of a deep kiss,
    He knocks me out!
    Whether or not there’s love,
    Aren’t you unrefined?
    Rascal rascal rascal Kissman!
    Rouge falls
Down to the core of the heart
    I’m made bare
To the middle of a dream
    I’m taken away

As for a lie (As for a lie), so sweetly (so sweetly)
    Twisting hips melt
As for the time (As for the time)
    This arousal (This arousal)
It’s all right to be turned on, but aren’t you pushy?
Bending (bending) by degrees (by degrees),
    Sparkles shimmer
Too tired (too tired) to swim (to swim)
    As though I want you,
    I don’t want you

    That gaze
    With a little fear
I listen from here on out
    How was it?

    Around this place
    A rumor is spreading
    Hello!
    Hello!
    Mr. Kissman!
    It seems to anyone,
With what looks like a greeting,
    You’re a fawning servant
    Around this place
    I’m being warned
    Hello! Hello!
    Mr. Kissman!
    A seducing line,
    Before long I notice
    You suddenly use one, right?
    An overly familiar
    Playboy

    Whether or not love’s there,
    You brush it aside
    Rascal rascal rascal Kissman!
    By Mr. Scattered,
With the feeling of a deep kiss,
    He knocks me out!
    Whether or not there’s love,
    Aren’t you unrefined?
    Rascal rascal rascal Kissman!
    Rouge falls
Down to the core of the heart
    I’m made bare
To the middle of a dream
    I’m taken away
