Translation: On the 18th of June, Japanese idol group AKB48 will be sending 18 members to Taipei, Taiwan to participate in the Golden Melody Awards prize presentation at the Taipei Arena. This Japanese girl group which has achieved much success in their homeland, will be expected to bring an "AKB Wave" to Taipei. Two of the 18 arriving members, Umeda Ayaka and Oya Shizuka, will be arriving on the 15th to hold a press conference before the actual event, in which the members will reveal their plans for development in Taiwan, and their impression of Taiwan. AKB48 just recently held a nationwide senbatsu election last week (unsure about the actual date of this article), the venue being Tokyo's famous stadium, inducing great frenzy in AKB fans, and as the media reported, people from all over Japan were also following the elections closely, even Japanese politicians, thus evidently showing how welcomed AKB is in Japan. No news of such stated on the official TTV website for the Golden Melody Awards yet...Singapore fans can catch the live telecast of this award on Starhub tv channel 825 and 851 on 18/6/11...

Updates about the shop: The shop opened by Mayuyu before on 12 Jun has been closed because the number of fans attended was much larger than expected. Hence the management of the building would like the shop to close temporary for security reason. It will move to 3/F of Eslite 116 (誠品116) and is planned to be re-opened on 23 July.
