Re: THE AKB48 thread! that reminds me of when I went to the AKB Theater and my dad was like "So, did you buy the ticket?" and I was like "Uhh no, I have to win a raffle to be able to get in" so my dad said "Oh, so they give tickets away to lucky winners! Like a contest!" and I had to say "Uhh no, if I win I can buy it" my dad's reply: "... that doesn't make sense. Why would you make a raffle so that people can pay you?" xD I obviously explained to him that there were a lot of requests for tickets so not everyone could make it so they decided to install this system, but he wouldn't wrap his mind around the fact that somebody would not want all the money they could get and make a raffle instead lol
Re: THE AKB48 thread! There's some article on Tokyohive about experiencing life with AKB48 in rental departments or something. Not exactly REALLY living in apartments with them. These apartments are called "AKB48 Voice Rooms" and they have special sound sensors that will play the voices of specific AKB48 members, making it as if you're living with them. The members selected for these are the Top 12 in the 3rd senbatsu election. Its part of AKB48's endorsement with Apaman Shop. There are also interior designs that feature the AKB members, like shower curtains with life-size posters of them and stuff. Re: THE AKB48 thread! Yeah i saw that too, It seems like you would have people going there trying to steal some of the merchandise out of those places and take it to their own homes, but maybe it won't be that bad, probably expensive rooms though.

And Japan is definitely a very civilised country. AKB48 attended the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Music Festival.
