Another challenger emerges! How come its TPE48? Can't they just do TWN48 so they won't have to use EII?

Wish they'd do Philippines. PHP48: the current exchange rate versus dollar.

I was checking my e-mail on yahoo when i saw TPE48 for one of the headlines in the news section. I was like "wtf?" but then it seems so normal now since all these new 48 groups are emerging. I can't even imagine how busy akimotosan is!

I'm sorry, but I just stopped caring about ~48 project
ever since they made HKT48........THAT'S IT SERIOUSLY
NMB48 was my last straw.......Seriously.....this is just crap load of 48 family.
This will give more negative effect to people because people are just sick of it now

i agree with this. What i'm worried about is what's going to happen when akb sort of dies down and they're not as popular? surely the other 48 groups will go down as well.

With all the 48 groups popping up (I know JKT48 and TPE48 won't be based in Japan) and Nogizaka46 coming, I wonder if there's enough idol love to spread around all these groups. I really wonder how many more 48 groups will appear.

Oh well. As long as there's not a USA48 coming, I think I don't really mind all these new groups forming. For now...

If they plan on Dominating the world and have one in the European countries, will he have to recruit Japanese girls only or girls native to the region?

I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan yet even I don't look forward to TPE48. [worried]

I can understand the whole localized 48 group in Japan but the international version of group48 is just too much. Even if Taipei has similar cultural background but it is still inherently different. The whole 48 family works before it is based on Japaneses culture. Tsunku tried with Ice Creme Musume before and it FAILED!!! Well, let's see how Aki-P handle this international 48 group, if he fails, well, I saw it coming :XD: HOWEVER, if he succeed, I will have a new respect for him, we'll see [wonder]

I think slowly, people will get too tired of the 48 project. But my concern has always been, what will happen to these girls "IF" this project fails overseas. :hmm:

Well, expanding into the China region is obviously a major aim of the Asian expansion they're doing, and Taiwan would be a LOT easier to do business with than mainland China. I don't really get why people hate the idea of these other groups so much as if they're stepping on AKB48's toes, they're obviously meant for that domestic market. If they succeed or not is a different matter but people should stop acting like it's going to take sushi out of Acchan's mouth or something.
