I think if AKB were during that time, they probably already accomplished that target with Heavy Rotation which is the most signature song of AKB as Love Machine was for Momusu.
However, I'm not sure AKB can employ the same marketing gimmick and promotion events as they can in this era, so they might get less number of million seller singles.

The older girls represent the “old AKB,” that’s why they’re wearing burned EbiK clothes from last year. The younger girls represent the future of AKB. They’re working hard to save the older ones meaning in the future, AKB will be depending on them, but the younger one still need the older ones to guide them so they tried to save them, perform CPR etc.

The media called this the “Heaven and Hell” concept so I’m guessing whatever place they’re in, it’s like “hell.” By carrying the older ones and going up the mountain/hole, they’re rising out of hell. What wait for them is heaven (popularity, dream fulfilled, happiness) but it won’t happen without suffering. There seem to be 2 ending..one with every one dying on the ground, the body piled up scene, and then there's the one with everyone escaping from hell so it's like saying this could be 2 of AKB futures, fail or success.

The bikini thing.....It seem like it was combined of the dance video and the drama ver.
I heard someone said the producer said on his twitter there's a longer ver but IDK when it's going to be release. I guess they're doing it separately because the dying scenes might make the CD rated 19+ or something?

I'm just waiting for the dance version that's just the older ladies (the one they were using for ads before the single came out). I was like full of disappoint when the "dance version" on the DVDs weren't the seperate dances....

It will be cool if it happens
There's been a lot of parody'd screenshots where Decade beat them to the dead lol. To be honest, the thing that I don't understand until this moment is why the saver team (Mayuyu, Team 4, etc.) wears school sport uniform instead of another seifuku? [whew] Perhaps because it means they're on their way (progressing) to work hard to gain their successors' positions?

I remember seeing some pics of Akichan in bandage and we didn't see it in the real PV so there might be a longer ver....of course...there were like 60 something girls there so it's easy to overlook her

Either the uniform was to signify era change...or it's continuing of EK where the ship crash into some mysterious island [hehe]

And then the new generation of AKB (ship) made their first appearance in a PV called "New Ship"? Jurina on the front (center), indicating she'll take a big role for the new ship's control (we can already see it from her transfer to Team K). Hence is why she appears in the Managu PV as the saver team. [clap]

Several singles away from dominating the full world chart for fastest track sold.

It's already amazing AKB48 tops both Japan and World charts.

Captivating sense purpose I guess? [hehe] There are a lot of predictions to be said. Though, all of 'em got their own flaws and we wouldn't go further from our previous point until they leak out some informations or till the full PV coming out

    @unkowwn:

Wow, that's wonderful. Hopefully they can keep it up for a year and more as the most sold track.

It should be even more amazing list.

Global Charts are missing week 51/2011: Uekara Mariko - AKB 48 640.000 points (should be #7).

'Manatsu No Sound Good!' set also a new record: with nearly 1,7 million singles / downloads sold in its initial week, it's the fastest selling track since Elton John's hommage to Diana, 'Candle In The Wind' in October 1997.

I think akb48 had a REALLY smart management, they use the cd as ticket to vote the fans favorite member, so the fans will buy so much cd as they can to support their favorite member, briliant
