I really want a proper studio recording of it, especially Onna no ko no Dairokkan.

I have not read all the back posts, so if this has been discussed at length, please direct me to the proper page in the back posts to start.

I have recently noticed how "Pinocchio gun" really rocks out and I decided to look up a translation of the lyrics.

What the holy mother of Mayuyu do the lyrics to this song mean? What is this song about?

"Pinocchio war Let's advance towards a victory! "

^I think it's meant to be a dance routine, and it's meaningless to think so much about the lyric's meaning.
But in a nutshell the message is "Hold your head high and don't look back", describing the success of the franchise. The Pinocchio reference is more to being proud rather than being a liar.

Pinocchio = SKE48
nose = status of SKE48

When the nose starts growing, it means that SKE48/Pinocchio is growing and is moving forward.

The message is that SKE48 will keep moving forward. lonehunter88's answer was accurate that this song is describing the success of the franchise. This song was written in 2009 where SKE48 was immaculate fresh meat.
The message simply saying that SKE48 will move forward no matter what.

looking at the date, they 've been performing this stage for 3 yrs now. Is it that popular or akip is just too focused on the new AKB teams? I really hope for some announcements since rikako, the S captain, has graduated...

 

Of course I love S3, it's a lovely stage, but after 3 years it's time for something else! A whole new SKE show would be great to watch

Matsumoto Chikako is the only team S member not performing on the shonichi.

 

Poor Chikako. Not surprised though, she's only performed in what, one show so far? It would be a slap in the face to the other girls if she was chosen over them.
I wonder how KII and E will do their lineups. If any of the draftees get picked over the promoted kenkyuusei... that will be frustrating >__<

I tried doing unit predictions, but really I have no idea how this is going to turn out.
Rion will probably do Kareha, or at least Mangekyou. I can't imagine Ryouha in any other unit besides Ookami. She just isn't at a level where she can center serious songs yet. Onna no Ko no Dairokukan isn't a serious song, but it needs to be performed soothly, with a calm voice and fluid dance motions. I'd think the one who could do it best would be Miyamae Ami, but she isn't popular enough to center a unit. So either Jurina or Milky will probably get it.

The new Team S is really quite the mix, isn't it?

 

Chikako's one performance was... rough. Like really really rough. Most likely she wasn't in the shonichi because she's not ready to perform yet.

 

I wish Milky would get Kareha (even though she will probably get Ookami)

 

I'm pretty sure Jurina will be in her unit again, I wouldn't count on her doing anything else...

 

I don't know. When Team K revived K4, Yuko was in a different unit than originally

 

It depend on Captain, Yuko chose this switch. I think Sae is too strange (with New Team S) to do it

 

I think Sae might just ask the ori-S girls for opinions, they know the songs and they know the girls better than her.
