Yeah otherwise I would get the blu-rays but not sure it's really needed for this event for me (unlike the Tokyo Dome concerts for example) so I will prob go for the DVD's for this......

 

Blu-ray is later, but I guess it gives me more time to save
But DVD, you get it sooner, its cheaper... There are a lot of April releases, so a cheaper version works (No Name and Takamina, more too probably)

 

Why are these damn things expensive ;_;

Guess I'll buy now and regret later.

 

I'm totally torn. My region-free DVD player is 10 years old and kind of crappy, so I prefer blu-rays. They certainly look better. But DVDs would mean two months less to wait, and at a much cheaper price...decisions decisions!

Now if I could just get my hands on the damn SKE RH set, it wouldn't be such a hard choice. Blu-ray, DVD, VHS, whatever!

Looks like I'll wait for the BluRay for this year. But is the extra BlueRay disc just includes Hashire Penguin MV and making? That seem like a wasted of disc space.

Speaking of MV, it about time they should release another MV collection set as well..

Do they reveal how many votes each song got that ranked in the set list?

 

It's usually included in the photobook that the complete boxset have. Last year the top spot is around 17000 I believe,. (too lazy to check my 2012 box)

 

I'm curious as this is my first time buying a request hour dvd box, does it usually come with some sort of a pre-order bonus? I'm guessing a photo?

 

I own Request Hour 2010 till 2012 Box Set so I can help you clarify some things.

1. Request Hour 2010 till 2011 Box Set (Pre-order Bonus: Special Photo Booklet)

2. Request Hour 2012 till 2013 Box Set (AKB48 Shop Bonus Photo)

If you're in Japan, I would recommend you to buy it from the AKB48 Shop because there's a special AKB48 Shop Bonus Photo that is only given when you buy it there. That is where I got both my Request Hour 2012 and Tokyo Dome Bonus Shop Photo from.

 

2012 set also included 3 photos (out 20 I believe) in to photobooks and the voting count of the 100 songs on the first print limited box.

All the bonus are only included in the first print boxes, you're likely not to find any of them other than 2012 set by now.

Damn! I love these covers! Very classy and sleek
The old ones, however, were about the songs while these ones are about the centres of the songs. Obviously that would be a huge part of why people vote for the songs, but I have a feeling that some people are going to find it incredibly unfair that their oshi isn't pictured

Don't like Sae's as much - a bit too dark? - and green is my favourite colour so I'm thinking I'll go grab that version

 

About the song?

The old ones just have the costumes of the song that's it.

I like it better than old ones, but instead just one person, I was hope for a shot of all the member who actually performs the song instead. I want Miicha on the cover as well...

As it stands, I'm debating on Mariko or Paruru cover...

That has got to suck lol, pretty bad move simply placing Paruru on the cover. It's as if the song was her's alone :/
It makes sense why Mariko was on the cover solo, but for Hashire Pengiun...
