The cold reality is that even if she DID decide to participate in the election, she probably would not rank high enough to be in a single. Let's not forget that she never ranked in Senbatsu when she was in AKB, so how the hell would she rank after being out of the group for a few years? She said she wanted to return to showbiz, not return to AKB48. She'll probably try and distance her self from AKB48 so that when she does return she won't have to deal with being known as "former AKB48 member Oku Manami" and instead she'll be known as "singer (or actress, model, whatever) Oku Manami". And you are right about high school. It probably took her classmates a while to get over the fact that they had a former AKB idol in their class, and now that's she fitting in and making friends she probably doesn't want to do something that would ostracize her and make her stick out.

Mediafire doesn't like split archives now. Fact is, they've set up tighter uploading rules and usage ever since the Megaupload debacle.
