Does it matter if Furage outsold KFC by 24k copies ? 1.33 million is an amazing number regardless of how you see it.
If anything, KFC gives way better impression as both staff and fans are having fun dancing along

 

220 000 fans are watching atm. Tomochin graduation show. I'm sure there are more AKB member Tomochin fans than solist Tomochin.

I'm watching it and I'm not a Tomochin fan. I'm watching cause I can (not everyday you can watch an AKB stage live) and because she's an important figure in AKB history.
And I don't think I'm the only one.

 

I watched it over on DMM.com and I heard the Niconico streaming was very good so good job to the guys who set it up.

Both of you are correct, there are more AKB fans who wanted to watch this because it's free rather than because they were Tomochin fans. You and me are just as eager to watch and I think that's what's important.

just because they can dancing along doesnt mean it has better impression than other singles,
i cant dance kaze wa fuiteru and beginner but still i have better impression than this, cuz my good impression of those 2 was it has high quality dance and way better harmonizing in vocal too.

@kobwad : It doesn't matter at all. Sales are just sales. Yes 1 million mark in Japan seems amazing, so it's great. Both staff and fans having fun dancing along? Of course, if the staff didn't do it properly it wouldn't even be uploaded on AKB's youtube channel. It's not the first time fans covering AKB's songs... [think] Hmmm, it's just the management made the compilation and uploaded it on their channel. I'm sure if other AKB song's cover were uploaded on their channel, it would become more popular.

MM takes out #1 and I don't think they'll be surpassed this week with a gap of over 70k copies over #2.

Morning Musume?

 

Morning Musume has sold 96,075 copies on their first day. It marks the second coming of Morning Musume, they're returning to the spotlight. Quite amazing if you ask me

Ever since Sayumi is the leader they're doing really well. The fact that they have a new management that is more aggressive in marketing helps quite a bit of course

 

Someone's obviously trying to see how fast they can get banned.

1st week Soundscan figures were pretty good. They should beat UZA's total this week.

And though I'm not really a MM fan, I'm glad they're seeing this success under Sayumi's era because I always felt she did and cared more for the group than Ai/Reina who were just content to be at the front of a unchanging lineup that never threatened their lead status. Makes it better that they got this huge boost in the first post-Reina single.
