For those who are going to be at the May 24th handshake/2-shot event @ Tokyo Big Sight, let's post our day's schedule here and arrange meet-ups and lining-up buddies

I live in Japan (I am not Japanese, but speak it to an intermediate level) but I am more than happy to meet international fans and we could grab lunch together or something (not necessarily on the day of the day of the event)

cool ... maybe we can try to go to a theatre show or grab a bite at the cafe before that.

I'll be in Japan from December 22nd to January 5th for Christmas & New Year.

For the May 24th event, I'm just flying in for the day: midnight flight from Hong Kong, arrive early morning saturday, go to the event on the same day, fly home the next day

I can vouch for 'luckyone'. You'll have a fun time. He's a great guy and host. During my first trip to Japan he was kind enough to bring me to the AKB48G Spring Fair. Amazing time.

Since I'm only flying in for the day and staying 1 night, I'm thinking of staying somewhere close to the venue or with easy access to the venue and airport (Narita, most likely) ... any suggestions?

I'll be around as well. I planned my trip together with AIDOLMayuyu. We'll be in Tokyo around 15th may -> 30th may (at least for me).

Really looking forward to the event and it would be made even better if we were able to meet up with some other fans!
As he says though we'll be there for a couple of weeks around the 24th event so will definitely be up for meeting up with people, even if it's just for a trip to the AKB cafe or something.

Lunch sounds good. I used to spend my time trading, but with the lines into the trading area now, I'm not sure I will bother with it. I'm thinking of staying until June 8 or so, hoping that a concert + election will be that weekend.

I'm a bit disappointed with my draw actually, with so many photos of sister group members whom I don't even know ... HKT's Wakatabe & Matsuoka are really cute though (maybe I should pay more attention to Team H from now on [blush] )

Anyway, I'm open to any offers, and would be more than happy to trade all 16 photos for 1 that I like (Yuko, Mogi-chan, Miki-chan, etc.)

I ended up jumping in a the last minute during the latest resale round, so I'll be going on the 24th now. Here's my schedule:

Slot 2: Hikari, Ranran
Slot 3: Mogi x 2
Slot 5: Shimada x 2
Slot 8: Sakiko x 2, Nakkii

And 4 unassigned tickets that I'm still deciding on, but one is definitely going for Komari during the 4th block. If they do another resale (although unlikely but maybe after the first event finishes) I'll try to add some more popular members, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out really.

I'm already planning to meet up with some other fans but it would be cool to meet other forum members too! This is my first 2-shot event so I'm pretty excited. I've got flights reserved that I just have to pay for and now I'm figuring out where to stay. I'm flying into Haneda after work on the night of the 23rd and then leaving on the evening of the 25th. Not a ton of time in Tokyo unfortunately, gotta be back at work on Monday.

^About photos, there will be a trading area at the event. I haven't used it yet at any of the events I've been to but I have more photos to trade myself this time around. I'd be happy to go look for Mogi photos with you! I haven't gotten my copies of Tsugi no Ashiato yet though, hopefully I'll get someone I like.

I'm just flying in for the weekend too, but arriving Saturday morning instead of Friday night (the only flight available between Hong Kong & Tokyo after I get off work is the midnight flight )

Since I'm only staying 1 night and am mainly there for the event, I've booked the closest hotel to Tokyo Bigsight which is Hotel Sunroute Ariake.

Also flying out on the evening of the 25th and am planning to visit the cafe & shop before heading to Narita.

Turns out i have no lessons on saturdays so i'll be able to meet up earlier than the start of my slot! But damn, if only i had known earlier i would have applied for resale rounds :/
