The poster release coincides (or intentionally planned to be the same with) the Handshake Festival. I have a strong hunch that they will show the movie poster in this upcoming event

Really hyped up for Sunday. Can't wait for it

Maxima Pictures, eh? Notoriously known as producer of too many crappy movies. But I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt this time, let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Gah, I relieved that the teaser poster seems confirming that this wouldn't be a cheesy love story movie. This could be very well ended up as a documentary movie, is there any information about the premiere date?

 

Since it's already confirmed not a biopics, therefore not a kind of real life JKT48 documentary.

I don't really understand what to add or update some things onto the first post, or does it better to wait the official statement from the managemenet/director?

I'm not really good at translating but here's my shot (and well I summarized the points):

- VIVA! JKT48 began it shooting production on today, March 17th West Indonesia's Time
- The story will be about Miss Kejora's (Cut Mini) plans to break JKT48 and form a new group BKT48 (lol) and seize JKT's theater
- Awi Suryadi, the director said that on the first scene of the movie, they (JKT48) as if have been discarded, when they went to their theater (and see) its name has been changed to BKT48 theater. They were confused, and the theater guard they used to met everyday didn't let them in
- They planned to release it on August 4th at 6 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Taiwan and Cina.*

- The article wrote that there will be 16 members presented on the movie, as if in senbatsu
- Melody (and the director) basically said it was challenging because of how they lack of experience in real acting despite already done commercial/music video/whatnot
- It's a drama-comedy movie
- Jakarta will be the main location of the shoot; from theater to zoo
- But the date for its release hasn't finalize yet and they still keep it secret.*

- 16 members will be the main focus (and it seems like vaguely, the article said that the others will get minor roles?)
- There will be 8 members of Team J for the first half (of the movie), then 8 members of KIII will come up later
- Cut Mini and Sumaisy Djaitov Yanda (better known as Bang Tigor) are also the main character, beside the members
- VIVA tells JKT's story to gain their popularity mixed with comedy and some kind of fantasy (since the director said they will kind of limit the world into JKT's world, or something like that)
- Melody: There will be no romance
- VIVA's shooting schedule has been planned for two weeks
- Melody: Hope that JKT will be known as not only capable of singing/dancing, but also a multi-talented group

My thoughts:
I think... I don't really know what to expect lol, it really is depend on the members acting for me. Cut Mini on the other hand is/was a great actress in my opinion, but she only did a couple of blockbuster movie here such as Laskar Pelangi and Arisan!. Bang Tigor... well he was a comedian and already did action movie before (idk what it called) so I should be at ease....... yeah sure.

Bang Tigor acting for comedy movie is quite good and i hope the girls will learn something from them

 

The synopsis sounds like any another crappy indonesian comedy drama....if it's not for the sake of the girls,i wouldn't even bother spending my money watching this movie...i'll just wait until a tv station airs it....
As expected...most indonesian knows the director's cv....
