I wonder if Reinyan fans are adjusting to NMB life? I haven't witnessed a lot of overlap, but that doesn't mean anything.

Either way, I recommend checking out the latest episode (14) of NMB48 no Naishi de Genkai Toppa! for a Reinyan filled episode where she eats lots of sandwiches and then later has to give a task to an American in English.

It's probably the best Reinyan NMB variety related thing yet, so definitely watch it.

 

IDK where I found this gem, I'm not a big Shukan AKB fan, but they had a Reinyan special one time? In it, Ijiri, Sakiko, Chikano, and Harukyan go to an amusement park with GREAT results. I think it's my favorite Reinyan appearance on any variety show so far [& that includes the famous MaiMai/Reinyan AKBingo episode ].

@satchan thanks for the heads up. I've never seen Genkai Toppa before, but watching her FULL meter go up & the awkwardness trying to talk to Mr Milton was HILARIOUS. Anyone else have a fave Reinyan variety show appearance?

 

I believe that was a two episodes Reinyan special if I could remember any better, about the time of the post-janken tournament in 2011 when reinyan almost got the center.

Way back in that year, the Itoh agency where reinyan belongs, produced a TV show (but was more like actually broadcasted on-line), named "fujie reina, chikano rina madamada no korekara!", with the premise that was a program showing the two girls growing up as idol while doing well, variety. The show has episodes that are very funny (I recall a muay thai match or something similar) but other are pretty dull with the girls just talking stuff. I would say this was more of a niche program, low budget and totally targeted to idols enthusiasts (well, is via pigoo after all).

there were released three DVDs of this series with a selection of favorites episodes chosen by the girls and fans, but are missing episodes so is not complete.

As for other Reinyan appearances, there are so many, but mostly are random shows for interviews, boring chatting or promos.

Btw, I just came here to know if you guys have watched Nemurihime, I'm still trying to figure out how to get to watch Houkagotachi, jeez even to buying it and bringing it to me from japan seems difficult to me for f sake.

I've only seen Reinyan in variety shows twice, but I really liked both: Nemousu in Hawaii (the girlfriend rating and shopping thing) and the recent episode of NMB48 Genkai Toppa (eating way too many sandwiches). Her eyes kill me.

 

I'd recommend trying to get hold of the old Nemousu New Zealand special from a few years ago. Without giving anything away Reinyan comes across very well in that.

For you guys who are looking for TV Shows with Reinyan, I remember quite a few of them, mostly Nemousu TV:

1) In this episode Nemousu TV, the AD of the show was moving to another apartment and the girls (Reinyan, Sasshi, Nito Moeno and Yonezawa Rumi) had to organize everything. They had to pack everything up (the guy's place was a mess) and then had to go shopping things and set up the new apartment. It was actually pretty cool, very funny, one of my favorite episodes. Season 4, episodes 7 and 8 (100815, 100822). Screencaps:

2) In another episode of Nemousu TV, Reinyan, Yokoyama Yui, Maeda Ami, Oshima Yuko, Katayama Haruka and Akimoto Sayaka went to the headquarters of the Firefighters and did lots of training there, it was pretty cool! Actually, this took three episodes! Awesome! Season 5, episodes 9, 10 and 11 (101205, 101212, 101219). Some screencaps:

3) Another episode of Nemousu: Itano, Yuko, Nito, Erena, Akimoto and Reinyan had a cooking battle. There was a Chef who was giving instructions to the girls. The fun thing is that the Chef was a gaijin woman and was only speaking english. Season 4, episodes 3 and 4 (100711, 100718). Screencaps:

4) Season 4, episode 10 and 11 (100905, 100912): A bunch of girls went fishing at the sea and, after that, they had a bbq! Also great episodes! Caps:

5) Season 7, episodes 1 and 2 (110724, 110731): Reinyan, Paruru, Kikuchi, Yokoyama, Nito and Suzuran had bodyguard training. In the end they had to escort someone in an intense simulation, another of my favorite episodes. Caps:

6) Season 8, episodes 1 and 2 (111113, 111120): The girls introduced their pets, trained them and in the end had to go through a test! Caps:

7) This one was wonderful!!! The girls had to record several activities backwards, so when you play the video backwards, the footage goes forward. It's kinda hard to explain, lol. Season 8, episodes 5, 6 and 7 (111211, 111218, 111225)Caps:

There is more. Reinyan also was in several episodes of "Bimyo" and "AKB48 Konto - Nanimo soko made" (and did pretty well, in my opinion). Also she was in an episode of that baito show from NMB (the best baito show among them all), but I don't have time to look for it now. If I remember other shows with her, I'll put here.

 

I think that one of the good things, for me, about Reinyan is that instead of the usual idol thing of shrieking and descending into tears at the first sign of something scary she seems up for having a go and looking like she's enjoying herself whilst she is doing so.

A good example of this would be in the section of the New Zealand special covered b the first screenshot above.

I just ordered their latest album and should be getting it soon. Reinyan tweeted that she is listening to it and asked for song recommendations.

Nah, I haven't listened to it yet, so I can't recommend anything...

7!! is a pop-rock band with a female lead vocalist and drummer, and male guitarist and bassist. The lead vocalist has a sweet yet powerful voice, and their songs range from light and happy to heavier and rock-ish (but definitely still pop-rock). They did a couple of opening songs for Naruto, but that isn't how I found them. I first heard about them when they played a show in 2012 with SCANDAL and Stereopony, two of my favorite all-girl bands, and then I saw them at Fanime in 2013.

Wasamin likes them too!

I did a translation of the segment in Reinyan's seitansai where she recieved a letter from her dog Max because it was absolutely hilarious. It's here and there's a video link attached as well!
