Audition Part-Time AKB48 (53 members passed)

I feel like I can sum up the entire existence of baito 48 as *shrug*

Kind of a dumb idea, adding soooo many members because someone gave them money for it but then not really promoting them at all and calling them "part time" so it's clear they aren't real members. Didn't seem bound for success.

 

Yes, it was quite a dumb idea Add a bunch of members displaying zero information about them and making 1/5 of this girls occasionally perform one song at the theater. At least with Mariri, for example, she appeared on AKBINGO, had a coupling song, performed once with Team 4 etc. Create a video for each member or something Baito, is not that hard. A bunch of the girls were "meh", indeed, but they had a couple of ones that could suceed.

"But maybe we will have some sort of announcement on the performance, let's see", like I said on my other post.

 

I think they simoly noticed this was a dumb idea, just like with the pennant race.

 

AKB needs to start thinking things through and not agreeing to whatever someone who offers them money wants. All these temporary members who are just advertisements (the otona AKB thing, now this) who join up only to get kicked out pretty quickly. It's a miracle Team 8 has worked out as well as they have, though if Toyota decides to pull the sponsorship money, I'm sure they will be reworked too.

Or here's an idea, if AKB already has too much going on to pay for it and they have to take all these sponsorship deals, maybe they should stop adding so many girls? Or not make more sister groups to further divide their market share?

 

Or maybe people should just enjoy the group and quit bitching about stuff for a while.

I'm surprised by this, since I thought this would be a permanent thing, but I'm guessing that was never the plan. It was just for the initial hype, just like Mariri. Also makes sense why they chose girls as old as 25.

 

The photos from their last performance look so sad I'm very curious about their performance, I hope is available on LOD.

It would interesting to know the members who declared they will join the Draft or the NGT48 auditions (I think the text above says something about it, but I know zero Japanese so...). I know Madoka will join the audition for NGT48 (yay ). And I'm glad that they will go straight to the 3rd round on the Draft.

For reference, the age from new groups are usually very low. NMB48 had a average of 14.7 years old (Oldest member being 18 years old) when they debuted, while HKT48 had 13.8 (Oldest member being 15 years old). The Draft included older members on 2013 (Including a 24 years old girl - and also Sally, who was 20 at the time). Here's a list with the age of each member:

So yeah, I realistically don't think we will see most of them again

I hope they accept Yumin, Yuuka, Marina and/or Mayu on the Draft. Yui is pretty cool but 25 years old is a little bit too much, unfortunately. Yumin needs to be on something, seriously. Form your own group or something haha


For NGT I would love to see Madoka, Yuka, Kira () and Saori there.


Marina would be great on Nogizaka46, but I don't think this will happen...

Chiyoda Yui was my favourite from the first time I saw her as a zenza girl, she's just so darn sweet but yeah 25 years old means there's no chance she'd be taken on full time anyway....but she'd make a great "older sister" to look after a new group of girls. Suzuki Yumin seemed fairly popular with the theater fans but again 22 means it's unlikely even if she is pretty good. Ogina Yuka reminds me of fresh lemon for some reason, she seems kind of weird and quirky...only not as irritating.

Kinoshita Mayu struck me as by far the best performer and confident mc, I'd love to see her in the draft or audtitions.

 

Baito AKB had a center? That's news!

I wonder if they'd go with her as NGT's center by default, but seeing she'd be 18 by the time they debut I find it unlikely.
I wouldn't be surprised if she made it to the group though.

saeki mika has decided to not enter the draft or the ngt48 auditions. She wants to be a manager.

I still want her to be a team captain if all possible.

 

I just watched their stage and it was pretty good, actually The setlist was a little bit strange (The units didn't include all the members, for example - including front members like Yumin and Madoka), but the performances overall were pretty good. But sadly most of the good members didn't appear on the Draft. Kaho, Mayuka, Saori, Yumin, Nodoka, Yumeno, Yuuka...some of them are still young (Saori!), so maybe we will see them again someday. Kira, Yuka and Marina joining the Draft was great, apparently the fans like them a lot.
