seeing many of you guys refer to bunshun as tabloid...
i have to say although the article this time is more of a humorous story lack of evidence,
bushun's is by no means a gossip magazine focusing on entertaining industry.
it mainly concentrates on politicians, imperial family and financial giants...
the covering on entertaining industry is indeed a small piece of decoration adding to the fun...

bunshun is a branch attached to 文艺春秋, a most influential publishing house that has altogether 11 publications.

and shukan bunshun tops the sales volume of magazines in 2012.
IT IS A PUBLICATION OF NATIONAL INFLUENCE.

The politic and entertainment section of a magazine are completely different and unrelated to each other. It doesn't matter how recognized the politic section is, the entertainment section can still be shit.
Even its politic section can be considered tabloid when it runs on gossips. Gossips are harmful to politicians but by no means it is considered serious politic publication just because it killed a couple politicians' careers in the past. Most importantly, even the entertainment section of the most serious political magazine can still be a shitty tabloid.

 

It's not that simple. If AKB continues to disappoint fans, they will eventually start looking elsewhere. Idol fans are known to be quite fickle, and unlike top girls like Sasshi, most members aren't popular among the general public. They might still support their favorite members to a degree, but stop supporting AKB as a whole.

You know there are other groups like Nogizaka46. Among idol fans, they are considered to be aiming for a very "pure" image. From what I have read, even many of their wota fans are against stuff like swimsuit gravure.

 

I find a large number of comments in this thread very ironic. I'd like to ask members to go and review Sasshi's thread from the time when Bunshun's first article hit the net - waves of "Nice try, antis", "No one takes this serious" and "I'm laughing at how stupid this is". Today the comments look just the same.
Then go and compare it to what people were writing only several hours and then days later when things got way clearer. Would be wiser to be a little more reflecting than that.

The scandal didn't make Sasshi more popular. Management simply twisted the situation enough so that they could make use of it and turn it into something fruitful and - in a way - self-ironic.
I honestly don't care much about it this time. Sasshi should have pulled out back then. She didn't at the time and that was that. Any additional thing is only making it turn into even more of a farce than it was back then.

Now I'm not necessarily saying "Take this more serious", but you're not making yourself look very clever by making such comments. I just hope it turns out to be nothing or at least doesn't turn into something bigger again and hurt the "brand".

 

AKI-P should hire shukan bunshun to manage AKB since they seem to be doing part of managements job anyway and get someone to replace TGSK (like HKTs manager ).

I can picture it now, there will be a influx in graduations followed by never hearing a scandal again

 

Except Satou is notoriously incompetent, especially in light of the Komori Yui situation along with Yuukosu etc.

In fact, Kaneko, Yuasa and Satou are all incredibly poor at handling internal incidents. Togasaki I would say is the best among all the GMs.

 

He got the most experience, plus I am sure Akimoto handled many of the incidents himself during the first years, so Togasaki learned from him. I think Kaneko got the most bad luck, since he had the worst case (your ace inviting wotas to her hotel room) and had to handle it as best as possible.

 

I understand your points. However, I just hope to logically point out the harsher punishment does not benefit any parties. If a person is currently still an AKB fan and loves AKB as a whole, I hope they understand that AKB as a whole does not benefit from it. If they are only fans of the fired girls as you highlighted, well, too bad, these "fans" are simply seeking revenge and are no longer AKB fans no more. However, I know that most people act emotionally and some fans may stop supporting AKB but I guess we can trust AkiP on this as he must think the short term benefit of having Sasshi outweigh the image damage. He is a producer after all .

Ehh, Nogizaka46 is pure... Sorry, I don't follow them. But how flipping skirts is pure is beyond my understanding :nb: [think] . Not that I dislike them but I think the most appealing part of AKB is the fact that are really "girls next door" and "idols you can meet". They are cute but not stunningly beautiful so that you can find one in your class if you are lucky. And being perfectly pure is so fake that I feel really distant. Just my opinion though .

I think most people are joking . There are no ways such scandals benefit Sasshi as long as she is still in showbiz. However, unlike last time, the article this time is too cheap to be honest. First, it has no photos/videos as proofs. Second, it offers no extra information on Sasshi that only her close friends can know. As you may recall, the last article was very detailed to establish credibility. This time, so we know she wore red underwear on a particular day?? Third, the writing is so cheap that I thought I tumbled to porn section . Well, as I said, since Sasshi was hit once, more ppl would trust these articles with fewer proofs. I think we shall see in a few days. However, for me, innocent until proven guilty .

Of course they could all sue them if it is total BS and will be why the mag. will be reasonably confident in what they have published • given that AKB has huge recourses with which to sue and threaten.

And, indeed, AKB is not so powerful with huge resources. After all, AKB is still only 7 years old. As someone has mentioned, that tabloid covers lots of topics, has long history and, in fact, very powerful.

Regardless of your feelings towards the girl targeted, you have to be either pretty gullible or have never come in contact with a tabloid in your life to believe such an obvious piece of tripe. The "sources" are the much used "How to start gossip 101": "i heard from x manager, y ex-boyfriend and z staff member that so and so...". The "scoop" is the painfully formulaic "young, out of control diva" storyline you can pretty much copy and paste any starlet's name into. They try to make as many references to the scandal they DID get right as possible so it makes the story appear to have more credibility and the article itself is just embarrassingly poorly written. The whole thing reeks of the occasional sensationalized "she's too fat, she's too thin" fluff stories rushed out simply to fill the gossip section and maybe get a few hits outta it. And being it's been around a few days yet no one important has even bothered to acknowledge it or do damage control... yeah, you can take off the blinders now there is nothing to see here folks. Like really.

 

The only thing I think they should investigate if this article is true about their behavior in HKT, heard it said that the staff and managers, if that's true ... then sincerely think they should cut shorter Sasshi that is getting out.
About what the boys .... honestly is very strange everything, is she going with every guy that has already been seen before? (of course not) Not sure if it's true or not but harm the overall image of AKB, as it gives you can imagine that all have boyfriends secrets and that staff and just know ,that the rule not boyfriends is a hoax to the fans.
I really don´t care the rule have or not boyfriend. But if it's a rule you have to follow they need to follow. In all jobs there are rules to follow, and the workers are still not to be dismissed.

I think because she is in everything AKB anyway, it is a bit like she never left.lol

I guess now her future depends on any follow up to this article, like some tangible evidence, or others with a similar experience with her.

If I were those girls who got booted for a similar thing I would be going to AKB demanding some sort of compensation, or go to the mag to spill the beans themselves.
