Of course centering Undergirls is a huge thing (for instance, I lost my shit when Miichan got to do it because it's important in her personal history and all the sentimental value involved), but let's face it: Senbatsu is comparatively better in the sense that your exposure to the general public is much, much better, you get to have your face on a CD cover, on a widely publicized MV, TV appearances, and so on. For any young member even ranking dead last in the Senbatsu for the first time is a great opportunity, the difference between 16th and 17th place is abysmal. I just hope tons of young girls get their chance to experience it this year's Sousenkyo like Miion and Naachan ^^

    Hopes
Sayanee ranks 2nd, I feel like 200k is a stretch even for her, I know Sasshi will come 1st and I'm perfectly okay with that because she's awesome lol
Tano ranks back in. I honestly don't care if she ranks 80th. I just want to see her back in. I don't ever want her to have the same reaction as last year.
Tomu, Naachan, Mion, and Juri maintain or increase their ranks, and Kojimako, Renacchi, and Mirurun rank in senbatsu
Miichan, Kojiharu, Kitarie, and Suda don't participate.
More NMB and NGT members rank. Especially new NMB members and more senbatsu members rank higher. Naiki Kokoro and Uemura Azuza rank in. Kato Yuka ranks back into top 80.

    Hopes for senbatsu

    Some quick prediction here:
Most likely Sashi's last ssk so fans would prob push her 1st as usual.

Sayaka from NMB would do her centering for singles etc. While she prob get a AKB48 centre single too for this year. (Who knows she might have her own baito/senbatsu and becomes sayaka-p)

And maybe Mayu and Yuki grad announcement this year and hold grad performance near end of year or 2018 jan period. Might be expecting a double centre for their grad song.

Sorry some random thoughts at 1am hahaha might add on when i think again

@Mayu Paru your only prediction is the one about Sasshi. I don't know how the other stuff fits in this thread?

I thought Mayuyu said she won't participate this year? Well, I won't put her on my prediction list anyway lol

    Prediction:
    1. Sashihara Rino (-)
    2. Matsui Jurina (+1)
    3. Yamamoto Sayaka (+1)
    4. Miyawaki Sakura (+2)
    5. Kashiwagi Yuki (-)
    6. Mukaichi Mion (+7)
    7. Kodama Haruka (+2)
    8. Muto Tomu (+2)
    9. Okada Nana (+5)
    10. Yokoyama Yui (+1)
    11. Shiroma Miru (+13)
    12. Kitahara Rie (-)
    13. Kojima Mako (+6)
    14. Takahashi Juri (+1)
    15. Komiyama Haruka (+6)
    16. Takayanagi Akane (+4)

(Just realized no one went down xD)

Hopes: Murayama Yuiri participates and ranks. Kitarie participates and ranks higher (I know I put her in the same position but that's surely what will happen). Omori Miyu ranks higher. Tano Yuka and Oya Shizuka rank again. Oguri Yui in UG (since she is being promoted A LOT). Hayasaka Tsumugi ranks. At least 5 NGT48 members (excluding Kitarie and Yukirin) rank: Kato Minami, Nakai Rika, Ogino Yuka, Takakura Moeka and Yamaguchi Maho/Yamada Noe (biggest hope ever)/Nishigata Marina.

tbh most non-sashi fans wants her to drop but still in the top range of senbatsu but tbh if most intl fans can vote shes alr out of the top 3 (just some of my random thoughts) if ill say if this year if it goes international, the senbatsu woukd be like the recent online vote senbatsu thing. (I forgot the event name but sayaka got first)

i hope so but the fact is we need a big mass to support another girl and make her fall down. if the international fans could do something "more" i'm sure that the ssk winner would be yukirin, cause once i read an article yukirin got 50,000 (even more) fans just in china.

... what are you talking about?

International fans CAN vote and Sasshi is still 1st.

The Kouhaku vote WAS NOT international, but Japan-only.
And yet, I really doubt many think Sayanee is more popular than Sasshi.

Please, inform yourself before writing non-sense.

Thank god some people are actually deluded enough to think Sasshi will drop, I was already disappointed that most people had given up.
So her tree-peat will actually manufacture some salt. :^O^:

Seeing that Mayuyu has lost 60k votes last year, i think she will be #1, so here's my top 5
    #1 Watanabe Mayu
    #2 Sashihara Rino
    #3 Matsui Jurina
    #4 Sayanee
    #5 Kashiwagi Yuki
I hope this election is fair this time anyw

I'm not sure that Mayuyu/Yukirin/Sayanee will attend this year, i'm a lit bit confuse bout it

I think you mean Jurina at #3 lol (Since Rena graduated 2 years ago).

Sayanee has already said she entering (The NHK Kouhaku result helped her).

MaYuki are still maybes (Even though Mion said she will, We haven't heard anything from Yukirin herself though).

    lol fail.

And the voting system for kouhaku I mean that since the viting is free and most fans internationally can vote, its already proven she will win.

As for SSK, most need to wait for their singles to come and welp its a long process and mainly u need money.

@Trinu you dont get my point i guess the rest gets it but nvm

The bad blood between China's 48 group and Japan 48 group is still there and pretty sure they will prioritise CHN48 first hahaha

    Then please elaborate.

Buying the cds and voting yourself isn't the only way to participate in the SSK. Many people donate money to campaigns and so on.

I think not many people "cared" much about the Kouhaku one tbh.
Sure, 400k votes is impressive, but there wasn't such a tangible prize as with the SSK.

The top 16 got to stand a bit ahead of the rest, got the camera for a second and Sayanee got a solo line. Wohoo.

The only ones who benefited from the Kouhaku SSK are probably the not-so-known girls (Miorin and Shiichan) and Sayanee because she ranked above Sasshi, IMO.

But again, please elaborate in your theory because I might be missing something.
