I'm not sure they could be any more adorable, and it's lovely to see Kubo shine. I feel like 3rd gen have the potential to be really versatile with the variety of songs you could give them.

The only thing that I dislike about the MV is that there is a clear distinction between the top tier (Kubo, Yoda, Mizuki, Momoko, Ume) and the rest. And pretty sad that Renka is not counted as the top tier. Looking at the HS, there is a huge gap between Renka and the others, she really has grown in popularity and closer to the top 5 than ever.

    Core5 (Kubo,Zukki,Yoda,Momoko and Ume) >>>>>Renka>>>Denchan>Riria>>Tama>>>Rest of the 3rd Gen
    That's their Current Hierarchy

In the past it used to be Core5 plus Riria
    But Ririan's stocks have fallen
And Renka took advantage of it

Those other Girls still get opportunities :
You see Ayatie getting casted in a Movie
Reno and Hazuki been given Stage Play job
Denchan being a Regular Cast in NogiEigo
Renka named Regular MC for Radio Nogizaka No No

Renka has the advantage of being the youngest of the generation. There's something special there see Asuka and Ayame for how they get treated. (Miria to a lesser extent).

Youngest and oldest in the generation are special and important roles. Youngest obviously being the fact that they're the 'baby' and get fawned over. Oldest being expected to be a mature leader. Ayatii, let's go!

Although I feel that Brand New Day isn't up to the high quality of 3rd Gen songs, it's always great to get a generation song for them. In context of the 25th single it fits right in!

I actually like Brand New Day a lot compared to other 3rd gen songs, only second to Sanbanme no Kaze. The MV is so beautiful as well.

Personally for me Brand New Day is at the bottom of the 3rd Gen songs. I'm glad you like it. It's not my cup of tea; it doesn't rise to meet the other 3rd Gen songs. I agree Sanbanme is at the top even if Jibun ja nai kanji and TokiTokiMekiMeki are right on its tail.

Sanbanme is 3rd gen's Best Impact Song
It needs more impactul new song to top it up.
    1. Sanbanme no Kaze
    2. Jibun Janai Kanji
    3. Boku no Shoudo
    4. Tokitokimeki
    5. Omoide First
    6. Mirai no Kotae
    7. Brand New Day

    Here's my ranking:
    1. Sanbanme no Kaze
    2. Jibun Janai Kanji
    3. TokitokimekiMeki
    4. Boku no Shoudo
    5. Omoide First
    6. Mirai no Kotae
    7. Brand New Day
I flirt with Jibun and tokitoki being their best, but I can't deny how great Sanbanme is especially to get things started. And even though it isn't a Yamashita tune her turn at the front when Momoko splits the group is legendary.

Wow, didn't know so many people hate Brand New Day. Seems my taste is rather uncommon. For 3rd gen songs, this is my ranking:
    1. Sanbanme no Kaze
    2. Brand New Day
    3. Boku no Shoudo

    4. Tokitokimeki
    5. Omoide First
    6. Jibun Janai Kanji
    7. Mirai no Kotae

But to be honest, I only like the first 3, the rest are the songs that I usually skip.

I don't hate Brand New Day, after all, it's 3rd Gen song which is my favorite Nogizaka Gen. It's that it doesn't meet my high specs for a 3rd Gen song. And in all honesty really my top 3 are hard to break into and the others are just ranked as I feel... Brand New Day could, depending on the day, make it as high as 4 in m opinion. It's great within the context of the 25th single.

    But here's Mine
If we're simply based it On MV
    1. Sanbanme no Kaze - gives the best impression for the start of New Era
    2. Brand New Day - Visually Appealing MV
    3. Boku no shoudo
If only Jibun Janai Kanji have an MV
I would place it right at the top

My MV for Jibun Janai Kanji is Maiyan's version from the 7th Year BDL behind the scenes VTR. Totally see why it's a fun song.

As far as MVs, give me TokiTokiMekiMeki for the cuteness that is a Renka, Reno, Tamami front row! That's the best.

It's a nice song, I think it's also my 2nd favorite (its MV to me is the best). Honestly, I never liked any song from 3rd gen that much after Sanbanme. At one point I forgot there was a song called Jibun Janai Kanji. Boku no Shoudo, I just remember Megatron. Omoide & Mirai, nice follow-up songs to Sanbanme, nothing special. Tokitoki is a fun song when performed live. They came out with a bang with Sanbanme. Hard to beat that.
