5th Gen Thread

Interesting...

Seems like October 29 is when 5th Gen was formed. Satsuki, Aruno, and Nao all mentioned it on their blogs this weekend that it was a year since they all had met.

Just mentioning as I found it interesting.

 

So assuming they started working/training in November they had 3 months of intense training before their reveal which started in February. Makes sense with how polished they looked like from the go.

I want it too but, it could be many years from now since gen4 not yet gotten their documentary

For sure. She's easily 5ki standout in Nogichu. Impossible not to love her. I was gonna say she is probably 3rd most popular now but Japanese people seem to love Sakutan just for existing. And it seems even 2nd place is up for grabs? For me it's impossible to separate Nagi and Satsuki but it seems Nagi is in a tier of her own.

I wonder who is centering the new 5ki song!

 

Did not expect to see Satsuki drop considering that she was keeping pace with Nagi last single.

 

IMO, Saku2 is quite flirtatious, but in a more subtle way than Miku, in other words she doesn't overdo it. I believe she expertly fished her fans during meguri.

 

Oh no, I agree. My comment came out as harsh but I love her as well. She is surprisingly very playful with the camera in Star Tanjou and in Concerts. I imagine that's the case in meguri as well. It is a very cool contrast to how shy she sounds when speaking. Makes sense considering her background as Figure Skating is as much of a show as it is a sport.

 

As a new fan, sakutan really have that gf feel.I am happy that Nagi sold out really fast,hopefully the remaining 5th gen members will sell out in the 3rd round

Most of them sold out faster than 30th single meguri. But kinda sad that Nao fell behind from the mid tier.

 

Top 6 really strong with Nagi leading the way. It's probably gonna stay this way for them with Aruno keeping this pace but eventually selling all slots. Nao slowing down and Aya probably needs more time. Unfortunately for Iroha and Okamoto, the way it is right now even a single slot sold is probably enough reason to celebrate.

Those top girls have a clear path entering Senbatsu starting with Nagi. Depending on how many they want to add, I think it's easy for any of the next 5 to make it. Well, probably Saku, Terepan, and Satsuki. Then Mao and Miku next. But I'm not yet convinced with the current order except for Nagi. And don't count out the possibility of Aruno being selected even for the next single. She is still one of their centers. This is good though with several members exempted already and maybe this is the last meguri for Kubo (or few remaining slots left?)
