I love both songs, but I need a break from them. So I'm quite happy to hear Avocado Jane~shi, it's in a similar vein and very cute and fun. I did some social media searches to see what people are saying about her hanashikai. First one I found pasted emojis over the autograph they received, but the tweet says: 'Thanks for a happy and memorable first talk' Second one I found: 'It was really fun to talk and we had a lot of time. The next talk is at the end of the month!' Third one: 'Eri-chan is so cute and energetic I was surprised she remembered me as the takoyaki fan' Fourth one: 'It was my first talk with Eri-chan. I was nervous, but it ended up alright because she took the lead. I'm a satisfied oji-san' It sounds like the usual to attract fans, remembering them and making an effort to ensure the session is worthwhile even if the fan doesn't know what to say. I think especially being remembered is a huge plus, it's definitely solidified Ran-chan as my oshi that I'm quite certain she knows my name/face. I don't mean for that to downplay her success at all, it's definitely a lot of effort and it's incredible she's putting that effort into her hanashikai! I'm also not necessarily surprised her social media views don't reflect her hanashikai popularity. The former is more accessible/comfortable for young fans, and hanashikai is better for older fans, it's what they've been doing for years. In the end, AKB48 cares more about real money than social media clicks (as we can see with their main campaigns), so it should still benefit her in the long run.
There's also Hoshizora (星空), Aichan and Sorara pair. It comes from the last character in their names (佐藤綺星 and 山﨑空).

I don't think that for 61st single they will include any 17ki members on senbatsu other than Aichan...but I don't think it will happen another 'Zukky effect', with just one girl of a gen getting goripushed. They might include another 17ki member on the 63rd, maybe? But I hope they indeed 'reward' (? couldn't find other word) Erichan for selling well, with a bigger push or something. After all, selling 7 slots even though there are more pushed members in your generation and that number being higher than most of the other girls' in the group, is awesome. I hope her sales keep increasing. Even though one of the og performers is my eternal oshimen (Mayu), sometimes I have nightmares with that song. But it can show the freshness and cuteness of the new girls Oh God she's pretty. So so pretty. Since the unveiling of the girls Erichan's been my favorite, but it's been a while since Yukitan's been fighting for that spot in my heart. ======================================================================= Now talking a bit about the future, do you guys think that there's any chance of 17th gen girls being promoted to the regular teams anytime soon? I ask this because (at least here in my time-zone) we have exactly just one month left until AKB 17th anniversary and on anniversaries we almos always have announcements and surprises, and I often see on Twitter some fellow wotas pretty confident that 17ki girls will get promoted on the anniversary performance, but honestly I don't think that'll happen so soon; even though they are being super pushed and are quite well polished on their skills, they still have little experience and have performed only a bit at the theater. Kokone didn't even debut on KKS Tadaima Renaichuu yet. Also we know that in the last years the average time of the girls getting promoted's been rising up. There's also the fact that the 18th term is already coming and maybe they will work together with 17th and even develop a healthy competitivity with them, so I think 17ki will spend a longer time as kenkyuusei. What do you guys think?
Chances? Yes. Most recent example was draft 3rd members who joined on Jan 2018, and on the AKB 13th anniversary that year 3 members got promoted : Moeka, Mahopyon and Kyon. I think Moeka was selling well and also got pushed on centering Saikyou Twintail that year. Kyon won the Janken that year so she got some spotlight. Mahopyon.... not sure, maybe you can tell me more? But yeah again personally I still don't want them to be promoted and separated yet. Looking forward for their healthy competition with 18ki. Well Aichan is in senbatsu and they went to Okinawa together so it's a given. Meanwhile Yukitan is said by others to have good interpersonal skills so she might've made some right approach to get that. For example she mentioned to Naachan that she also likes Re:Zero anime and like the character Rem. Which is exactly what Naachan likes too, so they exchanged LINE contact after that. While Sorara and Nonchan keep "missing the timing" to to exchange contact with Naachan. A polished, well-rehearsed, debut in line with all the other students. Very stable vocals as expected. Yukitan filled hirata yuki position in unit songs (delivering on Haru and Faint) Everone is performing well imo with a marked improvement in hotechan that i guess was just nerves during the first 2 shows. Regarding earlier performances, i unfairly judged hirata by her looks. i thought she was just another pretty face looking for modeling and acting jobs (AKB48 is a stepping stone after all), but, after her performances in budokan (esp. rolling on the group during Rhodes), I'm convinced she is all-in on representing AKB48.

I would like to think they've learned their lesson with both Zukkii and Moeka. Zukkii was their goripush from 16th Gen and Moeka was their goripush in 3rd Draft - look at 3rd Draft now. They debuted in 2018, and how many people actually know the members? I mean, don't get my wrong, my oshi is a 3rd Draft member, but besides Mahopyon, the other Draftees are unknown to people who didn't make the effort to learn the members. I also only really know Okarina and Yuzupi because I have 2 mutuals on twitter who are fans of these two members each; and I think Nagano Megumi is pretty, so she stands out but I actually don't know anything else about her. 16th Gen is a little better off, I think people would be able to name about 5 members (I'm thinking Zukkii, Manaka, Naamin, Orin and Satomina), but tbh Orin only because she's Tomu's sister and Satomina because of Produce 48. I think/hope Zunchan is getting more popular, but like... we're getting close to six years since they joined the group. They need to establish a team of popular members, rather than individual members, to ensure a good future for the group. 1st to 11th Gen are almost completely gone (thanks Yukirin for staying strong), 12th Gen will have 2 members left after Tomu's grad, both of which aren't really very popular (Miyuupon and Yukarun). Even 15th Gen is getting close to 10 years (May 2023 will be their 10th anniversary), so they really ought to focus on getting a group of members out there to the public rather than just one member. Simply based on the fact that management has been incredibly slow with promoting members from 3rd Draft and 16th Gen, I'm inclined to say no - however, that's less because of skill or number of fans, but because it's cheaper. To my knowledge, promoted members have a fixed monthly salary and KKS are paid only for the work that they actually do, so if you only need to pay for actual performances, they'll save money.
