I really didn't know ! I used to love AKB as a child but I kinda dropped them since it was so hard to get info on them & I recently came back so I missed a lot of stuffs ;-;
I wish we could vote for the throne again & maybe for the crown too ?

LOL all this while I thought the announcement was about there is no available slots in all the major venues as they are fully booked, hence they are approaching the general public whoever is seeing this announcement to voice out that HEY our venue nearby meet the conditions.

2018/6/16:

• I assume it hasn't ended at 19 JST so it will be on same hour with a world cup match of France vs Australia. You can watch both actually. You watch sousenkyo by streaming on PC or laptop unless you live in Japan, and watch world cup on TV. Sousenkyo should end in 20:30 JST. The next match is Argentina vs Iceland that is on 22 JST. At least the sousenkyo isn't on same day when Japan is playing or AKB48 would get criticized massively. Japan's first match is on 6/19 against Colombia.
• It's 2nd day of Eid Al Fitr. It matters if the Islamic holiday is official holiday in your country like mine, Indonesia. In Indonesia, actually only 1st & 2nd day of Eid Al Fitr are red dates (Indonesian slang of holidays) but actually the Eid Al Fitr holidays last for a week. Well, seems no screening of sousenkyo this year in Indonesia. Most people are in their hometowns.

 

There are football matches every other day, SSK is just once a year.
Plus, I’d be surprised if wotas are that interested in football in the first place.

As for Eid, do they normally screen the SSK in the JKT theatre?

SSK is broadcasted on TV, having a clash with the world cup will not make Fujitv happy since the ratings will be low. So yes world cup is a pretty significant factor when it comes to broadcasting.

 

World cup is once every 4 years.

okay wat since when Japan (or most Asian countries) care about Eid Al Fitr? and they never even broadcast SSKs outside of Japan and China. and bih it's not like Indonesia's the only one celebrating it wouldn't hurt you to throw Malaysia or Brunei Darussalam into the mix like wtf.

I guess it's a matter of ratings then.
They can check how each event did in the past and decide upon that.

But again, it's France VS Australia and it's not even the semifinals or anything, so I'd say the SSK should have this.

 

I have no idea lol but even if they dont, its still a competition.
