@gotbild - As far I know Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou was written in response to a spike in bullying in schools in Japan at the time. Less so than a song about suicide it was supposed to be a song that showed children and teens the potential consequences of bullying that went too far and on for too long. In the MV for it there's a lot of highlighting of the kinds of awful messages bullies often send their victims, a scene of the victim trying to fake sick so they can stay home instead of go to school only for the thermometer trick to not work, some emphasis on what happens to a victim when their support system falls apart or no longer feels like enough, and the video ends with a cliffhanger on if the victim actually jumped off the school roof or not. The leads for this one I believe was Oshima Yuko (story) and Takahashi Minami (song). And I remember in the video Miyazawa Sae has the role of the friend whom's support among the victim's support system stops being enough in the face of the escalating bullying.

 

Just want to add that I remember watching in the making of documentary that Sayaka actually had a scene in a basketball court where she was alone. Its implied she was bullied.

Sadly, her part got cut and didn't make it to the PV.

Another question. A pic from a video. The girls are singing Tenohira ga kataru koto somewhere. Can anyone say where and when? The video is downloaded 2014-08-02 so it's earlier than that. The song sounds very much like Auld lang syne.

How many shuffles have we had (involving AKB)? I'm not necessarily interested in team shuffles related exclusively to sister groups, but I'm wondering about AKB48 and AKB48 Group shuffles. These are the ones I can remember:

• (2006 Mini Shuffle) > Urano Kazumi, Hirajima Natsumi and Watanabe Shiho transferred to Team B
• 2009 Team Shuffle at Budoukan > Team Captains instated
• 2012 Team Shuffle at Tokyo Dome > Sae moved to SNH48, Takamina made Soukantoku
• 2014 Daisokaku Matsuri > a massive mess
• 2015 Spring Shuffle at Saitama Super Arena > Kitarie moved to NGT
• 2017 12th Anniversary Shuffle at AKB48 Theater > Dropped vice-captains

Am I missing any? Does the 2006 one count as a shuffle?

 

Did Myao give any particular reason why she choosed "The sound of music" for her catchphrase ?

It may be a sound of music song, but Doremifasolasido is a common way of referring to the notes in an octave. I don't think her catchphrase is necessarily related to sound of music. Musicians sing the doremifasolasido ladder up and down to warm up their vocals.

 

Who is the old man dancing in No Way Man? I also saw him in a Kojima Haruna lingerie ad.

It looks like Nito Moeno to me, but she isn't listed on any official sources to be part of the senbatsu. I found some old blog and news accounts for the senbatsu lineup and they list Moeno, but do not list Rena (who can be seen, albeit barely, next to Yukirin in the second screenshot).



(仁藤萌乃 is Nito Moeno, listed for the senbatsu lineup as a member of Team B, and 松井珠理奈 (Jurina) is the only member listed for SKE48).

Is it possible that Moeno was initially meant to be part of this senbatsu but then replaced by Rena? Was she just filling in for someone in the MV? Is it someone else entirely?

And off topic but I have to say it: Man, I miss the tartan costumes. And not just because I'm Scottish.

 

I know, that's why I said Moeno is mentioned in old blog posts but Rena isn't and was wondered whether she was officially replaced by Rena. But somehow still filmed scenes for the MV?

Yeah I think so – still looks like Moeno to me from that angle hmm

If it is Moeno, I wonder what the story is there and why this only caught my attention 11 years later. I have to admit, it wasn't even me who noticed this but a mutual of mine on twitter.
