I love Not Yet's discography and I'll be forever bitter that some AKB sub-units and soloists are on Spotify, but Not Yet aren't

However, I've looked up how to integrate local files into Spotify, so I've now downloaded all the songs that have been suggested and aren't on spotify and added them manually.

Does anyone know if the people checking IDs at the online talk event will turn you away if your passport has expired? I bought slots for the next session on 30/04 but I only just realised my passport has expired when I'm uploading my ID. I just submitted a renewal application but the waiting time is a month and it's impossible to get it in time. My alternative is to go to immigrations within the next week and pray they'll expedite it for me on the spot but there's no guarantee they'll do that either.

 

I very much expect that staff are only interested in checking names and photos so my advice is not to worry.

 

Would be nice if this was the case, but still kinda worried. I did some digging on the internet after my last post and found a blog (link) describing an incident where the author initially got rejected for an expired passport, though he did eventually manage to get through after some negotiating, so it appears that there is some precedence and am still worried that I won't be able to get through if I meet a particularly stubborn checker. It appears to get my passport application expedited I need some proof that I have a flight coming up, which I don't have, so getting a new passport in time is definitely out of the question now

 

@metallion I think you will be fine! For in-person handshakes, most staff only looks briefly at the name and photo. I’m sure that’s the case here too.
It’s completely understandable to worry about getting a stubborn checker, but that’s a rarity, so in the very worst case it would probably only happen for one members’ lane.

 

Are there any working 48G cafe these days?
I may visit them whenever I have a chance to go to Japan.

The AKB48 Cafe at Akihabara is of course no more, and even the Gundam Cafe which took over the site has closed.

 

Could you please provide more info on this? What is it exactly that the US Supreme Court is banning?

I'm really confused. I'm not American so I'm not sure where this is coming from. Is the Supreme Court suddenly banning (semi-) naked women in media?

 

I follow a Canadian Japanese idol group called Non Sweet who are based in Vancouver, I’ve put one of their recent stage performance videos in the spoiler below. I don’t know if there’s any major difference between Canada and the USA but surely if their style of costume is OK north of the border it’d be the same to the south?

There is a reason why this thread exists here. I have a question in regards to 48 groups on streaming services, which has been kinda spotty compared to Sakamichi counterparts.

It's pretty easy to find the Sakamichi series on streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and even Amazon Music, at least in the USA. But as for the 48 groups, I'm kind of not so sure. I couldn't access an older AKB48 album on Amazon Music US, and the only song from their latest single that I can access is their A-side. So what's the availability of 48G songs on streaming services in Spotify and Apple Music?

(I'm planning to try out the latter I'm considering now given the Amazon Music US' shortcomings in terms of Japanese music availability, which was also problematic with another artist named Ayaka, and not trying out any further. Not considering Spotify yet at least until they introduce lossless streaming, which they haven't yet, and even then, if I like Apple Music based on availability of J-pop songs at least in the USA and probably worldwide, I will only consider Spotify as a last resort.)

 

With Apple Music here in the UK AFAICS I have access to all singles and their coupling songs as far back as 'Aitakatta' although I haven't checked each single individually to be certain. With albums it's rather more patchy and it's just these 8:



plus also the albums for A1-3 and K1-3 stages. However under 'Compilations' there's also '0 to 1 no Aida', 'Set List - Greatest Songs' plus A4 and B2/3 stages and Himawarigumi 1st Stage. Also there's 4 compilation playlists for the '15th Anniversary' but the romanized spellings of the song titles are rather strange and I've no idea what the source of them is.

Finally, as always with streaming services and AKB48, there's 'Sugar Rush'!

 

Just watched the entire 16th Anniversary show and its Team Shuffle. Yuihan, Shiichan and the new captains on the theater stage with the members in the rehearsal room. Is the room also in the Don Quijote building?
