I think anyone would look like a prostitute while wearing that furry thing around their necks Wearing non-school uniform clothes does kinda ruin the song. I mean how can your school uniform be getting in the way if you're not wearing one

Daruikanji is now my new favourite song, and the dance routine has nothing to do with it. The clip was more like the catalyst lol.

^ I just checked out that clip. And you're right! The BG track does sound like "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado! (Reference to your comment in the Depot thread for A4)

And just thinking of the title "Maneater" in the context of AKB48 feels kind of wrong...

But yeah, does anyone know where I can get a full copy of this song? What little I heard in the clip sounded pretty catchy (maybe because I think "Maneater" is a pretty catchy song anyway).

 

You can download the song HERE. Like I said in the depot, it's mainly the beginning. The rest of the song is actually better than Maneater in my opinion lol, and that's with the wota shouting in the background.

I agree now - the beginning sounds like "Maneater", and "Darui Kanji" sounds better then the Nelly Furtady song.

Also, I just did a translation for the song, and you're right - the dance in that short clip has nothing to do with the song. I'm not sure how soon I'll post it on the Lyrics and Translations thread, but I'd like to see the full stage performance of the song or at least an official track release (without the fans cheering and clapping) so I can get a full feel of the song and lyrics before posting (even though the fans' cheering and clapping give a feel of a live stage performance - a definite plus).

When I said the routine had nothing to do with it, I actually meant it had nothing to do with me liking the song. But just out of curiosity, what are they saying in that clip?

Darui has been my favourite song (or at least one of) for quite a few months now. Can't wait until we get the official version though.

 

was this played in the concert shuffle dvd 2007? i don't recall this...is this a new song.
i have yet to memorize those songs...can't read kanji...yet.

If anybody hears of A4 coming out for sale, please post it here. Why does it take so long to produce DVD's of AKB48? I have A2, A3 and am ready for A4.

 

This song hasn't been performed in any of the concerts, only in Team A's 4th stage. You can view preview clips for all of their stage songs (including A4, B1 and Himawari) on their official website HERE. Just select the stage you want to view, and then press the first button underneath each song to view a preview clip. This would be useful for deciding which stage you want to buy next.
