Wow at these Jpop excellence. 48G members do have taste.

Juri deadass picked Jupiter. She needs to stay healthy and train those vocal chords, 'cause it's that song that you love but never sing because it's so long and the high notes are all scattered throughout the song. The performance will either make her or break her.

Mikazuki, Ito and Nagori Yuki are the trap songs here. The verses are easy to sing but once you get to the chorus...

To the girl who picked Aitakute Ima... Good luck, lol.

Okarina and Yokoyui 8 picked Flavor of Life, they are truly the edgy gals of 48G.

No one picked Ruriiro no Chikyuu? That's Miss Matsuda Seiko's best sing tbh, guess it's not popular enough.

 

If there's anything I learn from pd48, it's that Juri sings really stable even while dancing. Her voice color suits lower register better thou. She should have chosen superfly somgs or heck, nakamori akina or Juju songs since it suits her voice tone

Never heard of Horinouchi Momoka before but good luck to her singing Aitakute Ima
That is probably the hardest song on the list

 

I'll say Jupiter is slightly harder, since its high notes are all over the songs. Aitakute Ima has higher peaks but they're all in chorus. The verse only gets harder during the pre chorus.

Also, Jupiter is longer (CMIIW), which makes me wonder if they have to sing in full.

I'll say Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyuugeshiki is also one of the hardest, but the way Miss Iwasa sang it like it's just a walk through a park for her years ago made me think it's not the hardest lol. SKE's Nao, arguably one of 48's best singer, still struggled with Aitakute Ima (that was years ago, but still).

 

A lot of my favorite songs were options! Can’t believe Takahashi Juri picked Jupiter...to me personally I think it’s the most difficult song. A lot of these more difficult songs the girls could try to just shout through, not that song tho.

I don’t know everyone’s voice, but to me Yuihan’s song choice is the one that makes the most sense to me. Looking forward to hearing most of them tho!

Can't agree more on the superfly tho. She even tried to cover "Dancing On The Fire" drum-wise before
Based on what we've seen on PD48, I think she can pull off Shiho's aura too

But anyway. She has decided. Its an interesting choice. Gambatte!

 

From what I heard, all high notes in Jupiter were in falsetto. Juri's voice is naturally in high pitch and she can sing in falsetto kinda. I suppose she can hit all those falsetto high notes. All chest voice notes and pitch likely are bigger challenges to her.

If a song has just 6-7 high notes but all in mixed voice, it is technically more difficult to sing, isn't it?

There are some really hard songs here and I cannot wait to hear how everyone sounds. I expect to be equally wowed as given tinnitus
To be frank, most of the songs chosen are even difficult for the original artists who sing them, so it will be very interesting to see who is able to overcome their own nerves and the difficulty to deliver a fantastic performance. Even before the difficulty, the nerves usually get them...

Probably because many girls of the same generation with the same tastes. It'll lead to them singing same songs.

Nah that because the staff had listed those 64 songs before then each girls (based of their groups) chose the song by lottery.

So many 70'-80' songs in the list. I thought they'll sing more popular songs like Uchiage Hanabi or Hero. Heck, even there's only one Hikki's song (and no Ayumi/Namie songs)

I'm actually looking forward to this batch too, since they're all decent singers. I just want them to get the emotion during the chorus, Ayaka didn't play when she sang it lol.

Ugh, these songs make me miss early 00s Jpop. The ballads were soo good back then.
