Looks like it's not being shipped outside of Japan...

 

Amazon says that it can be delivered to my country, but i'm broke right now so i can't verify if it's true.

 

I've just looked and only amazon jp can send it to my country. I wonder why the other sites can't ship it internationally?

 

I didn't see any problem with AKB48 Shop and HMV (HMV has free shipping only in Japan). Maybe it's a CD Japan thing?

What's with all the BS export restrictions recently!?!?!? (this has been an issue for months, around the time the Avex export ban started to come up, but along with the YouTube Red ban, this export ban of AKB48 isn't really good to spread AKB48 to the world!!! This export ban is really BS!!!

I could talk about political conspiracies about the export ban (that mostly would be false), but that would be against the rules... But still...

 

^I'm pretty sure it's just the (typical) Japanese mentality that's always around if it's about music. AKB and other idol groups were never created for international purposes, and Japanese ppl tend to keep stuff for themselves. So... ye. AKB is for Japan.

 

Which is a bit funny since CDJapan says that the Blu-ray isn't region locked.

Nowadays Blu-ray discs hardly come with a region lock and none of the 48G Blu-rays in my inventory have one either.

DVD however always has been a different issue but luckily Europe also has the same region code as JP

 

Not used yesasia before as I've always relied on cdjapan but since they can no longer supply me then I guess I'll be giving yesasia a go! Definitely don't want to miss this one

Annoyingly, if it'd been released a month earlier then I'd have been able to pick it up while I was in Japan (along with the big long shopping list I've got for other stuff )
