Might be too late to say this, but now I wonder why Takayama is not considered to take a role in the movie. I mean she quite experienced in Kendo already to create a more "real" fight coreography.

Then again, her personality might cause problem during acting

The following link from the official twitter says that Asahinagu will be released on Blu-Ray/DVD, more info on 2/12.

 

Date has been announced for the BD/DVD. It will be released on May 16.

I dont know much about this sport but they definitely made an interesting movies based on the manga.
i like the storyline and the pace of the movie. Maiyan and Nanase got a senpai/kohai combo in the movie. Ikuta did well in her role from a rival school.
