Greetings everyone! So, a lot of you would really like to bring back member-submitted banners, so yes! We're bringing it back. Guidelines for the bday banners: • Banners should be 1200x200 in JPG • Focus point should be in the middle (the banner is centered and when it's in a smaller resolution - images at either sides may be cut) • Upload the banner in this thread and let us know the birthdate If you want, you can put your name in it and/or Stage48s logo or whatever. The main focus should be the girl and the fact it's her birthday (avoid messages; it's a forum banner, not a love letter). We'll also accept banners for special events, such as a group's anniversary, when AKB sells a million, christmas etc. As long as it's 48/46 themed. Also, if you wish to write the date on the banner, and/or when you post the date, please use JAPANESE style dates- year/month/day (eg 2014/08/05) or a written format (5th August 2014, August 5th 2014 etc). Different countries around the world use different formats so it's easiest if we all stick to the same one so we don't end up posting it on the wrong date because you've put the day/month in a different order to how it's done. Again, make sure you tell us when the birthday is!!! Questions? Suggestions? Carry on. Banner Crop Explanation Spoiler The full banner is 1200x200 so that it can maintain the integrity of being full sized in 1080p resolution and 4k resolution in x2 settings. It will be cut though once the resolution gets smaller, that's why the focus points of the banner should be at the middle (check the sample banners) Here a diagram on where the banner will be cut off. 1920 x 1080 - most HD screen resolutions now 1680 x 1050 - large desktop resolutions 1366 x 768 - some laptop models 1024 x 768 - 4:3 desktop resolutions or tablet Hopefully this can clarify the cropping issues. Let's say there's 5 different banner for the same birthday, is it possible to make it rotate on the header like a diaporama? thanks to revive this option again
Yes. It still uses the slideshow as what we are using right now. Each banner should be rotated after 8 seconds, or when some arrow keys are pressed.
Finally, this is a great news ! to whom we can submit our banners ? to you ? the the admins or someone else ? and how many we can submit ?
Just post the banner here in the thread, so any admin can upload it to the server. I should say you can submit as many as you want since it would be rotating rather than randomized.

The full sized banner will be shown in any forum that has a sub-forum (team forums, forum projects, lobby, idol emporium etc) The forum actually just crops the banner automatically according to which resolution you would have. I'll make a guide next time on which part would be cut off in each kinds of resolution. I'll look for a way in implementing this with the new system, since the ones with links are coded manually - bday banners are dynamically added.
