I read that Mariko is the teacher. That's awesome.

From what I can see, these are the girls in the cast picture. (There are more than that, though, since Acchan isn't shown in that specific shot.)

i found a description in 2ch so i dont know how accurate it is but some things start to make sense when you read this:

- first episode will air at 23:55~ and will be 30 min long, then all the other episodes will be 10 minutes long, and will air at 9 pm. the last episode will be an special and will last 1 hour (no timeslot revealed yet and i wouldnt hope for the 9 pm one)

- The new single title is "Sakura no Ki ni narou". and the drama is based on the lyrics of the song.

- the will all act with their real names.

咲かなくなった校庭の桜の木の世話を黙々と続ける風変わりな不人気教師、前田(上川隆也)は
ホームルームで突然の告白をする。
あと3カ月あまりの命で、教職を退き入院するという。
「卒業証書の代わり」として1人1人に手紙を渡す。
受け止め方は生徒それぞれだが、手紙は彼女たちの新たな1歩に的確に道しるべを示していく。
隠された秘密と奇跡を知ることになる。

This looks awesome!! I'm glad the group are getting a new drama, i've been looking for a new drama to get into!!

on that note can we change it to drama rather than dorama, as an english student (who is admittedley a bad speller) that kinda kills me. i know it is how the japanese say it but... we arn't speaking in japanese >.< Wow you guys are fast!!

Ahhhh so excited!! Looks to be a more "normal" drama as opposed to Majisuka's gimmick, which is alright, I guess. XD I wonder how long it'll run if it's only 10 minute episodes. :O

I'm excited about Yuko's (maybe) role as (correct me if I'm wrong) a lacrosse captain torn between continuing the sport or focusing on medical school?

...okay, actually, I'm just excited to maybe seeing Yuko playing lacrosse.

Couldn't be happier to see the news that a new AKB48 drama is being shown. Been waiting for another drama from them ever since Majisuka Gakuen. Hopefully for this time the drama won't end in a cliffhanger. If it does, i hope a sequel would be made so as Majisuka Gakuen. Although the chances are rather slim, hopefully there's something to look forward too.

And it is subtitled AKB48 それぞれの卒業物語 (sorezore no sotsugyou monogatari) : "AKB48, each of their graduation stories"

Well looks intersting indeed, more like a "Drama" so far, I mean no comedy or action comedy like Majisuka .
