WHAT?! The 9th generation are promoted and it may cause some graduation?! No graduation please!!! I think if AKB would be more than 48, it would be kinda weird because the '48' in the name wouldn't mean anything.

Mariko's Graduation Advisory System has been set to severe since forever, even then, that's only 1 spot.

Maybe it's not a new AKB team? It could be something like Himawari-gumi (Theater-gumi?) and they'll be considered full members, but referred to as at Team T or some chizz until they get transferred?

I wonder what will happen now. I hope there aren't any graduations. I've come to love the new line-up.

Maybe we're all freaking out over nothing.
It could be a fancy way of saying "9th gen won't ever have to worry about selections ever again. You will all be permanent members....one day."

With how stable AKB is right now, I'm sure that kind of assurance is worth crying for.

But it wouldn't be called a promotion if it was that.

The "after shuffle" were 17-17-16... I can't remember what happened first, if Shiori resigning or Kohara moving to SDN, but after that 2 moves they got the 17-16-15.

THEN they moved Yannu to get the 16-16-16.


But yes, the original planned idea of AKB48 after the shuffle was with 50 girls in the 17-17-16 formation.

^The 48 concept IS important to management. Whenever they've had over 16 per Team, they've relied on graduations to get back closer to the number. When was the last time you saw a Stage made for over 16 girls. (Answer: A3, and Team A was made at a time when there were supposed to be only two Teams of 24 each, making 48.) 48 is like a thing.

I'm just thinking back to the five-girl graduation of 2008. All of a sudden Team A had 18 members... and then we lost some valuable members.

I've been unsupportive of the 'Team' Kenkyuusei concept from the start, but now this is getting ridiculous. AKS isn't doing enough to promote the 48 girls in AKB, let alone add even more, and that's not even counting SKE, SDN, and NMB.

No surprise that Ayumi and Michiru came: I feel like they're the graduates closest to AKB still. Nacchan got to do both A and B, but Shiho didn't? What?

Yay. That's all. I love Seishun Girls, so that's even better.

Kikcuhi on Team B!? That doesn't happen too often. Also, how did Kohara manage to get to perform here? I think it's just because she's in SDN and they felt bad for her. Kind of sad that Naru didn't come back... and Guusan, too, but what can we really expect from her. Love that Mikachii came. And I'm surprised Mikipomu visited after leaving as an RS!

Finally there's a performance of this! I guess it's perfectly fitting, though.

Now that you've mentioned it, I wouldn't rule out new stages next year to accomodate the promoted members. I doubt the management promoted them just to be long-term unders of the current stages.

Yeah thats what I said they maybe work as a Back Up, just to the fact that no new team will be crated. But... even so we had some... non 48 formats in the past, they eventualy return to 48 because like I said... they are AKB48 .Now the strange its ALL Kenkyusei are promoted, so much in a raw, empty the Kenkyusei.

I fear graduations.

Please note: there are eight new girls and...

Eight positions in the Zenza Girls units. I foresee Team Zenza.

Also, I'm definitely hoping for an LOD. AKS/King Records does have all of those old songs, now.

Maybe they'll make something like a "revival" unit?... that can move all 8 girls and do 1 or 2 songs in each "Team" stage?.

Yeah, I'm that optimistic because I don't want to see "graduated" next to a girl name for the time being...
