Speaking of a push, does anyone know anything that is happening with the Google+ senbatsu? Have they released any CMs?

I would love to see more of Reinyan in the spotlight. Let's hope for 1st place in the next Janken single.

^Same here. I thought they were not close as cousins. I've never seen photos of them together. As a fan of both groups, it's really nice to see those kinds of stuffs.

I love this girl but I don't get her career.

She is one of the cutest and hot bodied girls in AKB. She has a bubbly personality.
She is not a great talker like Sasshi but I'd say she is as good as Mayuyu, Kojiharu, or Jurina at talk.
She's been on commercials and had a costar in her own show.

Yet she is #40 in the "Next Girls"
Next girls is were new girls are climbing up from the bottom and others are headed for the bottom to join komori and Oya.

Why can't she climb? Maybe she should transfer to another unit like Aki, maybe give her career a boost?

Preaching to the choir. She has so much potential.

But AKB48 is all about popularity, and I guess what we all find as beautiful isn't what the masses think.

And her career does seem a bit weird, like a pendulum or centrifuge I guess.

Glad to see her starring in a movie. It does suck that she isn't more popular but I guess it's hard to get more mainstream appeal, especially now with all the newer girls and since she's been in AKB for a bit. She's still my fave though.

Reinyan has been great image potential just sitting on the shelf for years, but never winning the nod for the big push from management.


She is the equal of most of the girls above her, many are not better singers or dancers than her, and Reinyan's appearance is just as appealing as most of the others. Maybe they think she is too sweet or nice, or doesn't have that dangerous or slightly naughty fantasy edge to her that maximises support. Or simply they were to busy promoting their favourites and had not enough time for her.

There are a number of girls in the same boat as her. She needs to quickly find an angle to add to her image that attracts management interest. How about she take up an interest in Harleys.

^ Reinyan was pushed back in 2009. Her push lasted only for a short time and she didn't even end up in senbatsu. However, it looks like she has gradually increased her fanbase since she has managed to remain in top 40 in the election despite new arrivals going past her. In fact, she gained quite a lot of new votes this year (went from about five thousand to nearly eight thousand). I guess that can be attributed to her visibility in Ue kara Mariko.

I could not agree with you anymore! AKB48 really needs a BAMF in their line-up. Who better than Reinyan. But seriously, I think Idols need to be more edgy, let some get some piercings or their motorbike licence. That would be cool as. [rock]

Reinyan was one of the first girls I could recognize in AKB and ever since then I've liked her. The other night I had a dream she ranked #5 in the next senbatsu election. I wish it would come true! I think I had that dream because I watched the Ue Kara Mariko PV right before I went to bed.
