4 years ago, private correspondence containing such things being so much as leaked is considered a major scandal over which they considered releasing her and ultimately demoted her.

4 years later, she does it with company approval and support, gaining more fame and prestige for putting herself out there in such a way.

That is a fundamental change in company policy and suggests different expectations being put upon everyone in the company.
