Well, regardless of whether if it's truth or not, what we've seen in the AKB documentaries are just tip of iceberg. There are things better left unknown.

This is typically the case when it comes to idols (at least with jpop and kpop, from information I heard over the years). Idols don't reap real financial benefit until they can land more side projects: acting, magazines, solo hosting, endorsements.

EDIT: All the more important to support these girls, let's see them dominate and find jobs.
And plus, everyone has to graduate at some point - they need to leave better than when they arrived, whether it still be in show business, with an area of expertise and more experience... or even just figuring out the right vocation for themselves, returning to school... SKE48 graduate Yagami Kumi apparently applied to law school or something.

looks like the article is pretty old

no wonder most fans jokingly said that everything JKT gain is all given to SNH lol
Oh and that time when 99% of the fans uses a hastag, forget what, to ask JOT to fire Jiro and replace him

 

^ i saw the same article but in different forum , and it does caused so many protests and riots from the fans , and even so many of them called it with a harsh word like 'slavery' , i don't know whether that article is true or fake but as usual so many fans were easily affected by that and i worried they may caused another problem by their words , why don't the fans just waited for a further information rather than raging and judging with their 'blind eyes'.

I don't think it's a bravery issue right now... I think there's a time commitment issue for the moment.
Most of the girls are in school... though I think the shift toward full blown idol life is starting, front girls like Melody and Ve are still in university... but recent HS graduates, they can choose to take a break / a year off.

I think Kinal is delaying entering university according to her OGB, hopefully she can work better at expressing and showing the comedic side of her, following in the way of Takamina almost?

Read it. And you know what I think? Exaggeration - perhaps - of a grain of truth that shouldn't be known by someone outside the inner business ring.

And nevertheless what that article says, I would never take it seriously. Of course, things behind the cheerful face of the members may not be that good, I understand that, and I won't be blind to the possibilities that such thing happened. But even though I know that sort of stuffs, I'd rather treat it as merely backstage story, not to view it as "slavery" or something ridiculous like that. Not to mention that it should've been written in the first place since "gray" area of a business are sometimes misunderstood a lot of the times.

Moreover, it's a pretty old issue that sparked around after Cleo and Ochi resigned from JKT. A lot of rumors like this are on the air at the time and I've heard similar stories like this before. But... well, I'd rather not to think about it.

At least, if this matter is true, it helps the girls to transform them into a more delicate flower. I try not to put the girls' efforts too lightly nor far too exaggerating their burdens; but as the saying said: "No pain, no gain". Sounds vile, depending on how you see it. But that's the best I can give out. They won't be a step forward unless there's a significant push for them. And... maybe just speculating but we won't see JKT48 reaching Tennis Indoor and see their cheerful faces in the concert without such thing happening.

JKT48 is meant to be a business, after all

 

at one of the interviews, she said that the other JKT members were also joined the audition/casting for BSG, so, I guess she's not the one who take the initiative at taking the job for BSG as Rena.

but, idk if she does do something else like modelling?

 

If we're following the AKB model... morning shows is the next avenue... which i guess means infomercials.

One of the members getting a regular morning show television spot, host or guest host - or something similar.

Remember the goal for the next two or so years: NATIONAL IDOL GROUP.

I think most of them are outdated. And also, we can't guarantee that all of the stories truly happened..
The tight schedule that sometimes occur is true. About the internal issues..no comment..(maybe yes, maybe no?) [think]

about the "nonton bareng" event

I got the verification e-mail, so I can join the first queue lanes (bingo number 1-6) and luckily I got the 1st row seat. There were 3 reserved seats at the 1st row, Cigul, Sonia, and Jeje sat there among the audience and we watch the video together.
The video is the J-Pop culture festival that was held last year, AKB and JKT performed together there. Everytime the ex-member C got a screenshot, everyone shouted haha..
The event ended with a quiz with 3 questions. Audience who can answer questions got souvenirs.
I saw some misconception tweets on my TL Some people thought that the gift is got a hug by the member The truth is, the gift was hugged by the members before given to the audience..

....well, I'm not really sure there are morning shows that require a host or such like there are in Japan. Mostly, the morning TV's here are filled with news and cartoons I watched them a lot and the weather predictions are also included in the news programs The same with the traffic report and other thing... so I guess there's no hole where any of the girls could fit.

They maybe can serve as a host in a music program? Besides Dahsyat, of course since there are other music programs on other channels that could use a host or two... [think]

But I'm hoping they could have a regular spot in radio - like AKB in All Night Nippon. That would be awesome since I've never heard any of Indonesia's celebrities got a regular broadcast time on radio

 

their own regular radio program? that's great but they had to find radio sation that is willing to cooperate first

and National IG, i think it will be hard to gain recognition from the gov.They might used JKT for tourism ambassador instead

but then JKT is the only IG in Indonesia. There is some small local IG yes, but they don't stand a chance against the gigantic 48g. without a proper rival, #imo 'National IG' feels… plain
