MNL48 (short for Manila48) is a Filipino Idol Group produced by Akimoto Yasushi and the 5th international sister group of AKB48. The 1st generation members were officially announced on April 28, 2018. The group will have their own theater, located in the Eton Centris Mall in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

 

MNLife later with complete Team MII girls , should we create a thread for each show or its much better to comment here?

I think...per show would be a good idea.
Kinda hard to tell right now since Life and Laugh are technically the same show lol. I'd vote split it though.

 

Only two are missing I believe. The newly promoted Casey and Essel which is still in mourning. Kinda complete to me.

Well everything has been created (Was actually planning to Spilt them btw lol). I also did let the mods know to close the News and Discussions thread (to which they have).

 

Just passing here because literally i started grinning just at the names in the threads... sorry, but reading all Spanish based names made chuckle

Does anyone know if MNL is going to appear at the Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show next week? 3 TPE members were suppose to be there, but their participation was cancelled, and then I remembered that the MNL members were suppose to be models for the brand.

 

Would it be a good idea to post on each girl's official FB page about her thread here? She and her fans would probably be excited to know that there are many international fans of MNL48.

^ Do you think. or like, open for the idea for MNL48 to have a ballad-ish / acoustic / jazzy version of any of their (upbeat) songs? I personally like JKT dangdut versions of Halloween Night and HebiRote. Though, I think they should be very careful of choosing what song to cover- making sure it will suit with the "feels" of the music of the song choice (because, of what the majority fear of: 'cringy' lyrics)

The entire group is really talented and I think they have like a various kind of voices to offer. Hoping for a number of sub-units!

No word yet. Their TGC endorsement deal is tied up with its local store, and it's not ready yet the last time I checked (about a month ago), so it's unlikely any of them will go. I would assume that TPE48 had their own endorsement contract which, due to the unfortunate turn of events, is probably on hold.

The management seems to be taking their sweet time and letting the group's image solidify first before delving into the topic of sub-units. It's definitely going to come once they start doing Stages, but they're probably not thinking about that right now.
