[GENERAL] The MNL48 Thread

I just read some of the posts on FB that ABS-CBN will be closing down March of next year, is this fake news? if it's true then MNL48 might also be affected by it, who would you prefer to be their new media partner if that would be the case?

I don't think they will switch to a new one given that MNL48 just signed a renewal contract with them a few months ago.

They are already prepared for it with their iWant TV online platform and will move to online streaming just in case it happens. It's like their version of NetFlix, but bringing their sponsors/advertisers to this online platform and partnering with local ISP companies.

So I wouldn't be too worried..

yep I saw that earlier too and there's a debacle about questioning Rans' acting chops/achievements and love team/ship with fans on the other side starting an issue, but they did not know that idols has rules and most MNL48 fans is way on top of it.

Sheki is the easy answer, but they could easily send another recent Senbatsu member.

You’re right...In my opinion the senbatsu center should be the one going.

Last time I checked DEL48 had finished recruiting their members so all that’s missing is the press conference with their presentation. I’m curious about how their ace looks like

Sheki, Sela and Abby

or I would be leaning towards on who they always picked to WRD48 senbatsu unless they go something fresh or new this time.

So if they go with just 16 members, 1 ace for each sister group then it would easily fill-out the 8 spots and then 8 AKB48 members.

either way, I am still hopeful for a Shiichan x Lara beatboxin collab.

 

Abby will be MNL48's Kouhaku representative.

 

I knew it if it is not Sheki. She's always been a favorite or top pick on the Japanese fans/side (SB Movie, Japan Festival, AsiaFes)

I mean I would assume that they would not be doing any over the top performance or vocal showcase to bring Sheki in, perhaps language versions of KFC so Abby is the next logical and fav choice.

 

I just wanna say guys: 100K? I don't care what you say. That's AWESOME progress. I remember when we were under 1K.

I just...love the progress MNL48's gone through. Could it be better? Yes. But I love what they've accomplished all the same. Let's do it again, guys haha
