[GENERAL] THE NMB48 thread!

Okay... and? Are we assuming this group won't be long term? Why?

It's funny how, over on the OUT OF 48 thread, you're saying how it would be absolutely impossible for members to be part of AKB at the same time as a new domestic group, while also saying how time consuming it is to be part of a K-Pop-esque group, but also implying here that there is no issue with NMB members joining a new group produced via an entirely unaffiliated project.

For the record, I'm not fully leaning towards anything yet and waiting for official announcements. If DH says that OUT OF 48 group will be a sub-unit or kennin model, I believe it's possible. If DH says it will be an unrelated group and members have to graduate, I wouldn't be surprised either (although I wouldn't like that move). As for NMB and Produce 101, I'm quite doubtful that they'll allow currently active idols on the show (even if under Yoshimoto) but we still have about 20 hours until they open up applications and we find out the rules, so...

I mentioned "contract transfer" more than once. Clearly, I believe NO NMB48's member will two-time and ones to join the new group will have to quit permanently NMB48.

Never did I address what DH WILL do but what it SHOULD do. Could not you understand the difference?

Does not rule out anything in fact. This message most likely is for the general prospective applicants while those tie to Yoshimoto have another application channel. Yoshimoto's staff and NMB's members can meet each other vis-a-vis any time. They do not have to contact each other via website nor go through initial online screening.

Lapone also has had some female trainees. It is unbelievable that Lapone's own trainees are banned to join Lapone's group.

Miru possibly will skip this audition as the latest Queendom Puzzle news is Hitomi and Nako out, Miru in.

 

I shall remind that Yoshimoto doesn't directly manage NMB48's anymore, but one of their subsidiary.

Also, had Miru been interested in this, she currently has no agency, so met the application conditions.

 

Contract transfer makes even less sense. Why would Produce 101 allow NMB members to transfer contracts when they have a blanket statement no acts currently affiliated with an agency? Especially since they're not part of Lapone (yes I know Lapone is a joint agency of CJ Ent and Yoshimoto. It's still not exactly the same, especially considering @lionel90's last post). They likely have no contact with any Lapone staff.

I'll admit, the possibility of allowing Lapone's own trainees join sounds more realistic, although I think it would be a bad shout from a reputational stand point, given the application rule. They're encouraging inexperienced applicants and not allowing other signed talent. It would be unfair, and the Produce series really doesn't need any controversies surrounding fairness.

 

Quick change of subject - today I visited Namba for today's Theater show which I've reported on elsewhere but before that I visited the 'good spoon' cafe to sample the NMB48 collaboration menu:

Ordering was very simple - I scanned a QR code on the table which brought up the menu in a browser in an electronic translation friendly format. I put what I wanted in a shopping basket and checked out. I ordered a pizza with potato chips and an orange drink which each came with member coasters (I got Fuwarin and Nishiyuma):



I have to say that the pizza base was a little dry but the topping was OK, however the orange drink was very tasty and zesty. The total cost was about 2,300 JPY and for me it was an interesting, different and enjoyable experience.

I didn't get to see the afternoon 49-26 rankings. so i was a little confused about many comments in the evening show for miru to appear. now it makes sense.
