[GENERAL] The Sakamichi Series group thread

After posing the question on the Nogizaka general thread, forum members seemed interested in having one thread delegated for discussion and news related to BOTH Sakamichi Series groups. And, I suppose, the totally-not-a-joke Yoshimotozaka46.

Currently discussions pertaining to both groups can happen on only one of Nogizaka or Keyakizaka's general threads, or sometimes separate, completely independent discussions happen on both. This can lead to fans of only one group missing info about news, events, releases related to both groups because they only follow their group's thread. For example, discussion of SakamichiAKB from the Sakamichi perspective took place exclusively on Keyaki's general thread and many Nogizaka-only fans didn't know about it at all for another week. Also, I often find myself posting the same info to both groups when making content that relates to both, such as surveys, statistics, etc. which I often post.

Sorry for exclusive Keyakizaka fans for having this in the Nogizaka forums but since there was no other way to make the decision I defaulted to seniority. I hope no one feels excluded as a result.

If you're a fan of either group please follow this thread and ONLY have discussions related to both groups (in some way) and, if you don't mind, please direct all both-group discussion (particularly in the event of future collabs, or just discussion on the relationship between the two groups, and so on) here so no one misses it.

 

Before I answer, for anyone reading we're discussing the collab unit between AKB (inc. sister groups) Nogizaka and Keyakizaka on AKB's last single, SakamichiAKB.
I think the purpose of SakamichiAKB is just the newsworthiness.
It gets all three groups' names out there, benefiting all three.

It probably contributes most to AKB as AKB gets the extra sales and in media is put as the head of the project as it's their CD.
There's a reasonable chance it will happen again next year, as Nogi and AKB have done similar collabs around the same time for a few years now.

Though I wish Nogizaka featured Keyakizaka on their CD before AKB did.
I'm really hoping to see some kind of Nogi x Keyaki collab on Nogi's 3rd album.

 

He said there would be nothing in senbatsu. No kennin, no senbatsu reps. He didn't say no collab units so it's entirely possible. Also they do some activities together.
And I'm sure on Sony's end they won't allow participation in AKB on senbatsu level.

We could discuss the Sakamichi Series in general here which is fine but in particular I want this place to exist for things like the interaction on Nogichu, perhaps even the upcoming GirlsAward show. Maybe also next time there is a mixed 46 Show.

Performing at GirlsAward is a long tradition of Nogi and becoming one for Keyaki too.
And they're both sending models (6 from Nogi and 5 from Keyaki)

Kobayashi Yui, Habu Mizuho, Hirate Yurina, Watanabe Rika, Watanabe Risa
Kitano Hinako, Saito Asuka, Shiraishi Mai, Nishino Nanase, Hori Miona, Matsumura Sayuri

And Nogi's Akimoto Manatsu will be a co-host with Yamachan and the FujiTV announcer Ozawa Youko.

The Sakamichi (and 48G) factfile
has a lot of information compiled together (mostly from wiki48) and put together in ways I find interesting.

It's a little difficult to explain what this does without going into too much detail so please just flick through it once and see for yourself.
