I think she didn't say what kind of surgery she needs exactly. Ppl tweet it's probably appendicitis, but if this is the announcement she meant to make like a month ago I don't think it's that.

I usually have a bad reaction to drastic hairstyle changes but this really works for her. It makes her face look smaller and her eyes look bigger so it's a double win!

as for hairstyle I don't really mind such changes in the way say Western celebrities do, to freshen things up every season
that being said I'm afraid this will be more like what Japanese celebrities do - "I went bangs and never went back!"

at any rate it's irrelevant what do I think - the fact is the change has been picked up by so many sites and matomes, even Taimuzu featured it, which was very surprising to me. The surprise was even bigger when the comments weren't actually full of: "who?" but rather "oh that's cute". It also seemed to me her SR numbers have been a bit better since, although I have not at all been checking carefully. But yesterday I saw that her stream had 2x views Aoi's did, today she had more than Kanon - there's the mainichi idol "bonus" for sure but still. (I also remember a few days ago it was like prime time 9 pm and she was literally the only one 48G streaming, could have also helped her.)
