I recently refound the PV to Ashita wa Ashita no! It's been months since I've watch that video because of copyright infringement! I felt like the old Rinatin was back ): . Then, reality struck again, I realized after falling in love with the video that Rinatin was long gone and has moved on to another career. Heart-broken once again </3 ):

I'm not sure if AV actors are considered to be idols, but as far as I know Rina is pretty popular

She says that's her reason for getting into AV: She wants to be a well known singer one day. I guess she is doing pretty well for herself, since her sister just decided to follow her steps. I hope she gets to sing again one day though, I love love LOVE her voice

As long as this eventually lets her sing again, I'm awesome with her in AV. And even if she just stays in AV, that's what she wants, and I'm completely fine with it.

I just want her to be a soloist!

I will support her 100% if she were to change occupation and start doing solos....but if she does become popular, i wonder how much her AV DVDs would sell up to xD

Cause that's a load of bull lol. They always make up some cute life story, so that you'll end up wanting to keep buying her new dvds.

Once you go AV, there's literally no chance of making it back into the public eye, especially as a singer. What parent would want their child listening to a singer who has done porn?

it's definitely harder, but actually yes you can.
tbh I'm not sure if she really willingly went to AV, in addition there are so many of her disappearing rumors.

I think the rumors were discussed a few pages back in this thread, just rumors so it's really nothing to worry about. [whew]

Becoming a soloist isn't impossible but people just chooses not to do it, because of the negative impression and the history of being a AV actor they have on them. I hope Rina could just come back~

I might be totally wrong, but I've heard of former AV actresses who did relatively well in the mainstream, although only Iijima Ai comes to mind right now.

I really don't understand Rina, to be honest. Her reasons to go into JAV left me dumbfounded because I feel she could've become famous and debut as a singer way easier by staying in AKB. So there must be a part of the story I'm missing xD Although it is true that when she graduated she wasn't a frontgirl anymore, and maybe her alleged illnesses made her choose to leave the super hectic world of AKB for good and try a different path.

I just really really want her to become a singer again xD

Maybe since before that, she loved to be a singer so much and was saving herself to maintain her idol image but then... when her first time happened when she was 20 and it was with an aging "music" producer (older than her dad)... It got her jaded with the whole thing and flipped her concept of the whole industry... I think that was just such an ironic and sad way to lose your innocence...

That's just my speculation but I think there is a lot more than meets the eye here.

people needs to learn to appreciate a celebrity by their talent and skills rather than their own personal life...especially people in the U.S have a really hard time understanding this.

in an ideal world with ideal celebrities...

Sadly, that is a bit different in industries where the product is actually the person... then the person's identity becomes public interest/consumption.

These girls are Idols not Hollywood movie stars who make one film a year, get millions of bucks, and then disappear off the face of the planet (sunbathing or shooting up, who knows?). These girls are there everyday, getting their personas sold on tv, radio and even on the street when they eat out or shop. They don't just sing and dance then disappear.

Rinatin's fallen idol concept works well with her new career... after all she confessed those things herself making her personal life open for public consumption...

The DVDs and the CDs are just manifestations of the product. Rinatin is the true product here, a product although is manufactured to a certain degree by management, ultimately is made by her, the artist. Now, who will buy this fallen angel? (I'm saying this btw with admiration to a once singer that I liked).

We're actually judging her based on her chosen profession, not her personal life. I have no idea what her personal life is, all I know is that currently, as a performer, she gets paid to have sex with nasty men while she cries and someone video tapes it.
