Because unless you have a chronic problem your tonsils are infected instead of your lungs or something worse. Tonsils are a line of defense the body has for a reason, they don't remove them anymore unless they seem to be totally defective.

From the looks of the latest kimi no dare. Mariyannu seems to have dyed her hair black. :) Looks pretty good, though I preffered her lighter colour.

Uhm, well, literally she just announced it at the theater. I'm sure there'll be an official blog post or something in the next hour; for now just search her name on twitter.

She's 25 and she's been here since Dec 2008, so I think she's done her time. I'll miss her, she does a lot of theater work and always seems cheerful.

    *slams head to desk* Noooooooooooooooooooo...
(I am doing this far too much recently)

To be fair, she has just started her ninth year in the group. She has never caught a break, despite having great vocals and being absolutely stunning (having met her, I can confirm that she is beautiful in the extreme) and she had all the trouble with SNH as well as recent illness. But at the same time, goddamn it all :( I will miss her.

Nothing lasts forever, I'm quite sad but not that much surprised. Let's have fun until the end!

Since her birthday is on April 29th, April 30th might not be just her graduation performance but also her seitansai.

One last hurrah then. She had done everything she can to catch her break in 48G. Applause.

    May she catch it post-grad.

omg, not her too, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm surprised that she has just announced it now. I was sure she was gonna get her way out last year immediately after Ami graduated. I really appreciate her loyalty to 48G, she spent most of her Idol career as an under, never ranked, got thrown into the SNH mess, but still dedicated her time for almost 9 years. Such a shame, her singing voice is nice, and she is known for being an amazing theater worker, and she looks like a very nice person. I really hope she can be successful outside 48G, she has the talent, the look (she's one of the prettiest member I have ever seen tbh), and attitude.

Nomura Nao looked really devastated :(

Her graduation blog post -> http://ameblo.jp/mariyasuzuki/entry-12246102922.html . Basically this sums up her entire story of being a member. After reading the blog and member's (which range from 1st gen to 15th gen and also some sister group members whom I don't recall seeing working with her) twitter mentions, you can tell that she gets along with everyone and really helps the junior to be comfortable working in theater.

All this graduation trend is very sad. Mariyannu is a very good performer and a great sempai for junior members.

Ahh noo!!!! I read Mions tweet. I'm actually really happy that she mentioned her. Mariyannu became one of my favourite members recently. She has great vocal, is a good performer and is a hidden beauty. Actually I cannot blame her cause mg treat her like shit. I was so happy when she got in the Janken C/W. I will support her and I hope she'll stay in the entertainment business.

2017/02/09 Suzuki Mariya Graduation Announcement (Full)

    https://twitter.com/kanihara48/status/829656214019530752

Despite being a fan of AKB for 6+ years now, I have to say I never really paid attention to Mariyannu, I knew her as the member who had a transfer to SNH and that's about it. However when the Boku no Taiyou revival started in mid-2016 I watched like the first 10 stages of it and I got to know some theater girls better, and Mariyannu is one of the members that I started to know better and I found her likeable, she seems really nice. (sadly now many of the girls who were in this revival stage are announcing graduation. .___.). It's kinda sad to see her go, but she has been there for many years. AKB old gens are slowly dissapearing, even though it's expected but it's still kinda sad... At the end of her announcement, she said that her goal is to become actress. I wish her the best!

Rough translation of Yannu's blog about her graduation.

At today's Boku no Taiyou stage, I announced my graduation.
4/30 will be my birthday & graduation stage.
My last handshake will be 6/10.

    I joined AKB when I was 17.
This will be my 9th year of activity.

I started aiming to be an actress after I was scouted in 5th grade.
I joined a children's theatre company when I was 14, but the reality was severe, and I was frustrated with my own abilities.
When a friend told me about AKB48, I decided to take a step forward and audition.
But it didn't go well, and I didn't pass until my 5th time auditioning!

I thought if I appeared to ordinary and unsuitable, I would give up.

But frustratingly my dream became bigger and I was unsatisfied at the thought of stopping.

    When I entered AKB48;
My position on KKS stages was good,
I was chosen to perform Skirt Hirari as one of the Sukahira 7,
I was one of the three KKS chosen to appear on AKBINGO for the first time,
I picked up a 5cm thick pile of fanletters at each performance
    Everything seemed to be fine...
But my handshake sales were nothing compared to the others.
Back before AKB became a 'National Idol Group'
It was 5 fans who looped my handshake line round and round.

Even popular kenkyuusei can gather a line of 30 people at HS events.
    It was frustrating.

I tried my best at cleaning the dressing room of the theater.
At the time, I thought I'd gain popularity if I worked hard, including cleaning! lol

    Although cleaning doesn't raise popularity,
    The senior members noticed,
And mentioned it on their blogs.
As AKB's popularity went up, my handshakes became more enjoyable as the number of people grew.

I was promoted, and I decided upon a catchphrase
    "3 o'clock snacks are Mariyannu"
which was used in Team B Oshi.

My name recognition slowly went up,

    Finally,
I was able to act in Kokkuri-san The Movie for the first time.
Then in two more films after that!

I wanted to try new activities, not just AKB work!

I read an article on G+ about Akimoto-sensei wanting to transfer members to the oversea sister groups.

Without hesitiating I went for it,
And transferred from AKB to the Shanghai group.

    It was a valuable experience.

    When I returned to AKB48,
It was different from the AKB48 I had left.

In my previous team I was the most junior member
But now I myself had a lot of juniors.
At first it was confusing, but I got used to it.

My activities returned to as they were before.
    A cozy and relaxing feeling.
Every theatre performance, I saw a lot of new faces, and I felt responsibilty to raise up the junoirs.
I grew to love theatre performances more than before.

Before I noticed it, my close friends moved on one by one, and eventually
I was the only 7th generation member left in AKB48.

When talking with staff last year they said
"Mariyannu might be here until she's 30!"

It's comfortable having a happy place.
Everyday is fun, and I wish to stay forever.

    But also...

The things I'd like to try before I'm 30... There are many.

    I realised these feelings.

When I was in hospital earlier having tonsillectomy surgery, I though about a lot of things over those nine days.

When I was recording the Janken single and PV, it was my first time doing activites with a small amount of people.

In November, I started thinking about graduation.

The 16th generation were announced, and lots of other juniors who will be the next generations of AKB.
As my feelings about graduation gathered, I decided to graduate on my birthday stage.

I thought about announcing it on my birthday stage
But thinking about my fans feelings
I didn't want to make them sad after they congratulated me, and also, it will be more time and money if the graduation performance comes after the birthday stage.

    Congratulations! Well Done! Happy!

I decided to graduate on my birthday stage.

The handshakes will continue until 6/10, since I don't want people who bought tickets to have to miss it or need a refund.

I was thinking about everyone's graduation, and everyone's fans.

I would like you to tell me your honest feelings
If you think it was shocking, if you're lonely, if you don't want me to feel sad.

Because I thought about it a lot.
I don't regret it, and I'm glad I could say it.
    I'm relieved.
The remaining 2 and a half months I have in AKB
I'll enjoy my youth that I can't return to anymore
I'll be happy if you can support me until then!

The next performance is 2/14 Valentines Day.

I'd like to do as many theatre performances as I can, as I don't know how much more I can do it.

This was really long, but to those who read until the end
    I really thank you

She clearly put a lot of thought into it, and she seems very happy & positive about it all! A lot of the theatre girls pick up decent amounts of outside work after graduation, so I'm hopeful this won't be the last we see of her. For a small agency, FLAVE do a surprisingly decent job of managing their graduates. (lol)
