Renapyon caught my attention in the Manabu-kun episode where the challenge portion was laying out dominoes. She kept annoying Momoka with her udon catchphrase Later on the show she started to annoy the other girls that she was hushed lol. She instantly reminded me of Berryz Koubo's Momochi and her overly cutesy and somewhat annoying character. I wondered if she took inspiration from that It feels like she just wants to stand out among the other members and it seems that she's doing a good job, too. Hope to see more of her on J-TV.

some solo competition i heard.

 

Kanjani no Shiwake 8.

She competed in the Y-balance competition where you had to stand on a tiny platform in the Y-formation with one leg up and then the platform will move and you have to keep your balance until the platform reaches the goal. She didn't win but she did pretty well and got a ton of back and forth with the Kanjani 8 members who let her do her Udon greatest hits.

Udon appeared in the same event with Momoka and Emichi and COWCOW today and she let loose with everything Udon-related much to the utter confusion of the assembled reporters and COWCOW. I will say one thing, she really does have a heart of steel and nothing can faze her. Even COWCOW says that they were impressed with her courage lol.

I didn't think she would get a continuation thing, but it's nice that they're doing more local tourism promo with her and other Kagawa people. It's crazy to think she's promoting the prefecture along the likes of Kaname Jun and Miyamoto Amon. It's also very cool of them to use an NMB song!

also renapyon has been on fire lately with me, i dunno why. i think it's because people are really starting to buy into her character which makes for much more hilarity.

If there are any Udon fans out there... I feel really bad for Renapyon right now. NMB made some nice progress with first-time rankers and other members moving up, but that just made it feel worse for Renapyon as she was left behind. Still the only remaining NMB 1st gen who hasn't been in senbatsu and hasn't ranked...

Keicchi talked to her afterwards, and it seems like Renapyon will stick around for next year. However, I'm worried because even with Keicchi's fans helping out this year, she didn't rank. Keicchi will be back in next year, so most of that help will be gone.

I love watching her in YNN and other NMB variety, and she's a really nice and caring senpai. Hope she sticks around.
