Congrats to Mao for being chosen to be in the AKB0048 anime series! [party]

I honestly don't know anything about her so I'm curious to see if we'll be seeing more of her now that she's a part of something like that, as it should get promoted well.

Just remembered that the theater manager (Kaneko) said on his blog after Maokyun passed the anime audition, that she was a maniac......for animes I guess... [wonder] not sure what he wanted to mean

To be honest, I always misread her name as "Santa Mao". A new generation of Christmas gift deliverers, I guess, possibly also something hard to crack for chinese communists...

I know now more names than girls I can recognize, call me back here soon so I could learn her better.

I was hugely impressed by her paintings which were briefly shown in Shukan AKB's Art Club episode. She has genuine talent in drawing/painting.

I like Mita Mao as one of the seiyuu in AKB0048/member of NO NAME. It's sad to knowing that even though she has featured in NO NAME's PV, she was never featured in an NMB48's PV A-Sides...I thought for being elected for become seiyuu in the one and only AKB48 animated series would get her popularity rise up and her fans support her more... [think]

Maokyun is just the cutest. Chose her as my NMB oshi after hearing her voice in 00. She sounded really great! She's cute too, and I love otaku members. I wish she were more popular. I'm always scared of having an unpopular oshi since they don't tend to stick around long. Hopefully she'll bring in some more fans soon. She's so underrated.

 

I downloaded Maokyun's seitansai from last year on a whim (it took me about a week and a half to download haha) and I'm so glad I did. I recommend it for anyone who is somewhat interested in Maokyun because she is a geniunely lovely girl who has so much love for her team. The stage was fun to watch, it had good MCs and Maokyun's fans were very enthusiastic and she's a very overlooked member so it was really nice to see her in the spotlight.

She talked about M during her speech at the end, and in the background there were a lot of girls crying because they were touched by the extent to which she loves and thinks about Team M and I thought it was really lovely.

She's just so fantastic and I just wanted to share that with everyone possibly lurking in this thread. She doesn't get enough love by FAR so!

 

I go back and forth on Maokyun a lot. I agree that she has alot of love for M especially with what M has gone through but sometimes I think she is one of the reasons I say that M was getting too insular. I mean, I don't think Maokyun ever interacts with other members within NMB that are not M. Nevertheless, anyone who loves NMB as much as Maokyun does gets an A-Ok in my book.

The new teams will be tough for her, even with Honori gone they have 2 too many members, so I wish her all the best.

 

I'm watching the Maokyun Heya with Ijiri and Shuu and I feel like her being "insular" was more of a result of them not giving her a lot of work with other teams. I guess that's what happens when you barely get any work.

 

To be fair to her, she is at the very low end of the food chain right now (despite being Akagumi). I can think of a bunch of KKS that are definitely above her in the pecking order. The sokaku will only make it tougher.

 

It's weird because after that coup that she pulled off with voice acting on AKB0048, she didn't do much with it. She actually does have really good voice acting IMO.

Then again, there's not a lot of intergroup mingling necessarily with voice acting.
