    It’s a well know fact sarcasm often gets completely lost in written media, sometimes even when accompanied with a emoticon

    Which can be a bit of a drag when you’re suddenly confronted with an enraged co-worker who completely missed the point in a light hearted email :/ ... been there, done that :)

    In this case though, "disband Team 8" is a running joke (or so it seems to me).

    For example, here is an exchange from the Team 8 thread a few weeks ago.

    Question: I see, so do you think that Team 8 will disband in 2020?
    Response 1: As far as I heard, it has been extended...twice.
    Response 2: No, next month.

    And previously:
    "let's just disband at this point"
    "Yes, with Toyota giving Team 8 a CM and after telling people to keep supporting them on their their sixth year, I'm sure they're planning to disband the team."
