I'm really happy to see a lot her these past few weeks but recently I saw a drop of interest of people in her. I can guess this is because of the first SR where she reject a lot of otaku's request.

The amount of views and backlashes in the video above really scared me but and I'm very grateful that OP turned off the comments. I thought that her active roles in skits and outside radio job can be sort of proofs to people that idol can be more than just cute. Even though she is very pretty and adorable enough for me, she may be lacking in that aspect among 4th gen from general public's perspective. I'm quite devastated when i saw her second SR's views was a lot less than her first. We all saw increase of views for miyu's and rika's second SR especially Rika who recorded a leap from 20k to 26k. I know SR's views is not necessary a required ticket to senbatsu but I'm really hope wotas and general public can accept her personality and appreciated her more. Sorry for the long rant.

 

As Shitara jokingly said she is rebellious. Wotas can be cruel after denied requests and hopefully Runapi can handle it. I still think she’s a standout amongst the new 4ki.

 

I don't think having a chara like that is bad, there are even otaku who like to feel humiliated and scolded by a girl lol
Of course she doesn't have to be disrespectful but I don't think it's the case, especially from what I see from that video, it's actually pretty funny.

 

I wanna be scolded by Runa-san in a polite but also sort of condescending way!

Honestly, they should make a skit about it on NogiSkits.

What are you trying to say? Is it:
A. Runa is not the first one rejecting otaku request on SR,
B. Asuka also reject those requests, but she still manage to be popular, so, Runa's fans, no need to worry!

 

The answer is yes. Or at least for me.

Not knowing Nogizaka in the early years, I'm not sure if Asuka was always rejecting requests. I think we know from the latter years that her rejecting requests (see her Another Sky) was in rejecting being the cute idol from her early days.
