You know how AkiP is, he likes to announe things when he has nothing prepared and then he has no time or the resources to do so (48G stages, TPE, etc.).

They better be some killer songs in there.

i wonder if they will separate the 2nd gens or make them sing as one big hiragana for the title song

I'm afraid they'll just give them four songs and 'no-face' cover (and booklet with only documentary photos).

But since Nogi's 3rd album and Keya's 1st album has different content, which Keya has more new songs, I think we can hope.

Hiragana already appeared on Kinki Kids show yesterday. Good exposure already in introducing hiragana as a separate group.

Personally, I want to see the 5K unit in this album, with MV and Dansho concept as well. But, it is impossible, right? Maybe on their debut single?

 

I hadn't thought of that, but it's a fact that most of the deep voices in Hiragana are in 5K: Kyonko and Memi are the deepest, and Kumi can get down there. Miho? Personally, I want to see mixed units of 1gens and 2gens. And more Memi, lol.

@RedBug -- I picture a full-scale album. Maybe not as full as the Kanjis' album, but more like eight songs than four, and with a good album package. I think management is pushing this group hard, in case Kanji Keyaki falls back a bit, from its various travails. And I think there is plenty of talent among the 20 members to work with.

@UrFavAsianGuy -- I'm no expert on Nogi Unders, but that seems like a good comparison. They do seem to be promoting Hiragana more as an actual "group" rather than any kind of unders, but Nogi starts at a somewhat higher general level of popularity. So I think the sales could be similar. Depending on how well the album matches public taste. I have high confidence in the talent that's there and hope Sony can make the most of it.

@k1s3k1 -- The KinKi Kids were good hosts, with some sharp side comments to go with their variety expertise. All four members came off well, with Mii-Pan the leader, and Aya making the biggest impression with her natural boke-ness and love of the smell of fish and feet, lol. One of the hosts kept praising her as a character. And you can tell from the ads that this is a show with an audience. Lots more viewers than their own late-night shows, I'm sure. And a young audience to grow with them, perhaps (show is on at 11:21 am Saturdays; the ads seemed to me to be aimed at young women -- and women who were fans of the Kids when they were biggest -- but not kids).
