Beautiful shot of Hirate and Shida Manaka from Mona's blog, apparently sharing a sweater on a cool day. Pardon me (and Japanese posters) for being a bit amused that Techi is holding a bottle of fragrance for men (Bvlgari BLV "pour homme"). Reminds me of the athletics episode of KeyaKake, when the hosts said she ran like a boy -- a very athletic boy.

 

Techi appears in the July issue of a major high-fashion magazine, Souen. Neru first reported this in her blog. Now Techi herself has published some offshots:

I'm listening to Kochi-Hoshi now. In ep. 7 with Yukka, Hirate named an imaginary horse Star Pony. Cute name. And Yukka imagined Hirate riding on the pony and shivered with that cuteness. So empathetic. I think Neru and Yukka will well support this young center.

First time Hirate goofing around with falsetto voice. She is still a kiddo inside.

 

Great radio show episode. Techi and Neru so natural, cute, smart together. Neru a total pro even at radio, it seems. Loved the way she was careful to say "I'm reading" before she read a letter. And I liked the song, too.

Just a note: I can see Zuumin, Pon, Neru and Sugai -- and even Suzumoto, despite not being as easy a talker -- all as people you could just plug-and-play at centre right now. And others soon. Not that I'm suggesting it -- but what a wealth of talent.
