Single HKT48 8th [Saikou ka yo] (2016/09/07)

Meru's drop is pretty predictable since her rank dropped even though she was a stable first row. This movement could either make her fans cast more votes for her next year or the exact opposite. But after all, it's still a huge shock that the management drops her straight to the last row............

Btw, Go Bananas! really sounds related to Team E's Banana Kakumei. If so, then I'm hoping for a wacky music video

I was right about an ori-gen-ish song, but dead wrong about it not being Chiichan's grad song lol. Anyway nice gesture. I also like the return to Team songs, and TII's 1st! Also, KIV's has an interesting title.

Contrary to (probably) most I like the covers & general style. I guess the song will maybe be a bit electronic? One other thing that we learned from photos and came true is it having MIX and a lot of call & answer.

 

Weird formation, like there is no balance whatsoever. I don't get Sasshi being first row, she is a star regardless of her positon...

Wow so the song has wotagei theme...fun song but not my favorite, either.

Chihiro's solo line soothe my heart, lol. HKT's first grad song, not bad...

 

The song isn't that catchy but maybe thanks to it I will finally memorise wotagei's order

 

as a wrestling fan, So Awesome seeing a Tiger Mask cameo in the MV (Saikou ka yo).

 

The A-Side tho!! They always give the good songs to the fresh gen (centers).. 74okubun is weak next to this one.
the MV reminded me Team Surprise MV + Love Trip MV.
Meru last row...tragic :/ Nako 1st row is not a surprise either.

Meh... I don't like the song so far, maybe it will grow on me but right now...nope! Love Chihiros grad song though.

 

The formation annous me the most, there is no balance at all height wise

 

1. agreed on balance height wise, the singles so far had a balance this is a mess XD
2. I don't like the song at first attempt to listen to it. I could warm up to it though. I really liked okubun compared to this A-side tho.

new single sounds fun.
this song is definitely not for calm listening, but for getting wild at concerts.
I like that HKT continue to move in the concerts direction.

So far I liked the saikou ka yo PV a lot. In the end I guess the outfits do look good after all... Though the song sounds generic to my ears at first, not catchy at all imo, but maybe time can change that... "I wanna do" and "I wanna kiss" just sounds pretty weird to me, but I don't know the rest of the lyrics, so there isn't much context for me... Still disappointed with Meru's position although it was pretty much expected. I thought with Nako's surprisingly high rank mgmt might push her even harder so I was a bit curious when Hana was announced center. After getting a preview of the single, I have to say I'm still not impressed with the choice...

Chihiro's grad song has great visual on video, i guess it was a nice gesture, but also not fully interested in the song itself as it just sounds like every other akb song, at least to my ears...
