Hopes, Fears, and Predictions for 2016 (HKT48)

With 2015 coming to a close. I figure we could do the stage48 yearly tradition (recently for all of the groups).

So what are your hopes, fears, and Predictions for 2016 with HKT48?

Past Ones
2015 - 2014

 

Hopes:

• Murashige returns to senbatsu
• ^also get a good position in the line up
• ^^^and rank in SSK
• Nako ranks in SSK
• Wakatabe Haruka returns to senbatsu
• 3rd gen get promoted
• 4th gen auditions
• Imamura Maria get promoted and joins senbatsu
• Tashima Meru returns to center position

Fears:

• Murashige doesn't get included in senbatsu
• Wakachan graduates
• Sasshi graduates
• Tomonaga Mio centers a single
• Nako loses her kennin with Team B

Predictions:

• Ota Aika announces graduation
• Maybe an HKT only Team Shuffle
• Yamashita Emiri finally gets promoted (make that all of remaining 3rd gen)
• Maybe Team TII formation?
• A big concert tour!

 

Only predictions for HKT:

-4th gen is announced finally... but late in the year.
-Imamura Maria will get pushed like NakoMiku.
-Another "crazy" gimmick like Kishidan will be played sometime on the year

 

Hopes:
- a Tashima Meru centered single, or an AKb48 B-side (a la Eien Pressure)
- rise in rank: Aoi, Okapan, Haruppi finally in senbatsu
- rank in: Riinu, any 3rd gen/draftee - it would be funny if Miku ranked in before Nako :'D (oh you know, the favorite underdog trend)
- stay in ranked: Ueki
- Something nice for Wakachan (she seems to be really self conscious about her height) be it a rank in or something else
- 3rd gen gets promoted
- 4th gen auditions
- new stage for KIV (won't happen for a while, since they're just exchanging the himawarigumi)
- a single/ AKB48 B side with an unusual center. (neither of these: Haruppi, Sakura, Meru, Mio, Nako, Sasshi)

Predictions:
- more crazy gimmick on the upcoming tour
- weird sloppy timing with singles
- Sasshi and Rabutan won't graduate (as in opposed to other people's predictions)

Fears:
- more graduations of girls getting impatient D':
- no promotion for 3rd gen

 

Hopes

• Maria Imamura enters senbatsu and gets promoted
• Nako Yabuki solo single (Just to see how people would react to it lol)
• Rest of the 3rd Gens Promoted (plus the 2nd Generation Draftees)
• 3 HKT48 Singles (like what I'm sure we were originally going to have in 2015).
• 4th Generation Auditions (FINALLY) announced.
• Quad Center for one of the HKT48 Singles (Haruppi, Sakura, Meru, Mio).
• Shige returns to Senbatsu for good
• 4th Generation Auditions

Fears

• Shige doesn't return to Senbatsu for Good
• 2 HKT48 Singles
• Sakura transfered to AKB48 full time
• 3rd Gens still aren't promoted
• No 4th Gens announced

Predictions

• Concert Tour (Already Announced) along with Solo Fukuoka Concert
• 3 HKT48 Singles
• 1st HKT48 Album Announced at the Anniversary Show for a 2017 Release
• HKT48 4th Generation Announced
• Sakura Transfered to AKB48
• Sasshi centered HKT48 Single.
• Haruppi enters AKB48 Senbatsu at SSK and joins senbatsu full time.
• Sasshi doesn't enter SSK (retires from it)

 

Hopes

• Imamura Maria enters senbatsu
• Ishida Haruka transferred to Team H (and becomes new assistant theater manager after Sasshi graduates)
• Quad center (Sakuruppi x Merumio) A-side
• Meruppi wCenter A-side
• Summer single (NakoMiku don't get a bikini tho)
• Tanaka Yuka gets a bikini gravure debut
• Aramaki Misaki in Senbatsu
• 3rd gens promoted
• 4th generation, eventually we get a member born in 2006
• 3 singles a year
• Shige returns to Senbatsu
• Kohaku comeback

Fears

• Sakura full transfer
• Sasshi and Rikopi graduate
• Only 2 HKT singles a year

Predictions

• 4th generation
• Second team shuffle
• HKT48 1st album
• Sasshi quits SSK
• HKT48 gets their own Request Hour

 

Hopes:
Madoka to rank in Undergirls again
Sasshi graduates (only after the ssk, where I hope she's #1 again )
4th gen. + Shuffle to form Team TII
Team H 4th stage, Team KIV 2nd Stage, Team TII 1st Stage
They cover the 1st gen. scandal in the documentary
More unlikely centers, maybe even for an A-side
They play more HKT48 songs in the tour
HKT48 Request Hour

Fears:
Madoka's album flops
Okapan and Maichan drop under #80
Sasshi keeps screming during concerts
Stop Himawarigumi
Imamura gets super-hyper-mega-ultra push

Predictions:
Haruppi top16 in the SSK
Sasshi keeps screming during concerts
Team KIV 2nd Stage
4th gen.
Lovetan graduates and more graduations than 2015 + 1st graduation of a 3rd gen.
Madoka will be back in the last row for the 7th/8th
2 singles

 

Just a remark for those who are predicting Sasshi's retirement from SSK - that's not going to happen. She already said yesterday at her Birthday stage that she'll participate. There are 2(3) grand records at stake after all.

 

^ It wouldn't be fair to someone like Jurina because she wants to win and she is MORE SSK obsessed than the top 3. Sasshi winning again would prevent J from getting the #1 spot she wanted the most. J can't wait till she's 20, it's better if J wins when she's still 19 just so that we have a winner that is a minor.

 

Hopes

Mio gets a PB and become the 48Group Oppai Queen

Predictions

• About two singles (or less, if NGT gets one too..)
• Sakura into Kami 7 again

Hopes:
- Haruppi kicks Matsumura/Shibata out of senbatsu.
- More dinosaurs.
- A big 4th gen (around 15 members)
- 3rd gen promotion.
- More dinosaurs!!
- 3 singles a year
- Bikini single (the main senbatsu girls are old enough now)
- Nako finally ranks.
- MORE DINOSAURS!!!

Fears:
- 2 singles a year.
- Old AKB songs used as B-sides again.
- Less dinosaurs.

Predictions:
- 4th gen audition and debut.
- some 4th gen member will be like 8 year old and out-cute Imamura who already out-cuted old grannies NakoMiku.
- 2 singles and an album.
- No original stages.
- Imamura gori push staato!

I agree! I hope all eligible members except Jurina won't participate so she won't have any trouble getting the first place!


Hope:
- Original stages (will never stop hoping)
- 3 singles per year

Prediction:
- Team TII debut
- 4th gen auditions
- Lovetan graduation
- 2 singles per year
- Sasshi wins again!
- No original stages

Fear:
- Sakura permanent transfer to AKB

 

^they didn't transfer Jurina to AKB48 permanently, they won't transfer Sakura.
Nothing to fear on that front.

 

Hopes:
-3rd gen all promoted
-Haruppi joins SSK senbatsu (dare I hope for kami-7??)
-a LARGE 4th gen like 1st and 2nd gen- at least 20
-3 singles
-return to Kouhaku Utagassen
-Change image to be more cool/mature
-new stages. Not even original but new ones at least Aki-P

Predictions:
-4th gen
-continued Haruppi center or w-center with Sakura
-2 singles plus the already announced concert tour
-Loli push of Mirun and Maria

Fears:
-3rd gen left unpromoted to "mentor" 4th gen
-No movement in members (graduations and new gens)

I know there's a lot of people that dislike graduations and although they are always painful for their fans (like Goudo Saki for me) I do think graduations can help a group grow and it feels like HKT overall isn't having as big of a growth as I would like- just Haruppi, Sakura, and Sasshi getting all the attention, especially Sasshi and Sakura.

 

Hopes
More unique experiences such as brass band, Hakata-za/Meiji-za, collaboration with interesting group.
Big tour.
KKS promotion.
4th gen auditions.
Riinu recognition.
Lots of opportunities for Shigekko.

Fears
Graduations.
No new KIV stage.
Team shuffle.
A bad a-side.

Predictions
2 singles.
Some dramatic shake up from management.
Sakura gravure.

Hopes:
- HKT gets a really good, breakout single
- Yuriya gets literally any kind of push at all
- Mini shuffle event that moves some of the 1st gen back to Team H and promotes remaining KKS to teams evenly
- No 4th gen unless single sales surge upward
- Akiyoshi in senbatsu, Jiina stays in senbatsu
- Continue with less kiddie A sides
- Original stages

Fears:
- Maikomu grad
- Sasshi centers a single
- Awful costumes
- Uneven screen time in tv performances

Predictions:
-Still stuck with 2 singles which we have to wait for forever
-Singles get half assed promotion/poorly announced and the people blame the group/girls for not improving sales
-Haruppi/Sakura double centers

Hopes:

-HKT48 does more cooperations with other 48 or other muscial acts.
This way they can increase their profile and have a broader appeal. While having people buy multiple CD is a wonderful thing, HKT also need the people who just buy one CD

-A small 4th generation from between 4-6 girls.
Large generation may cause a divide within the group, like two countries speaking two different language. That is why I think the 2nd draft is success for HKT. Three of them melted into group quite well.

-Concerts and more concerts.
To me concerts is the birthplace of HKT, therefore that is HKT's home turf. They should play there more often. Oh and this might be a bit far fetched but how cool would it be if HKT did a concert together with let's say NMB, SKE, NGT, Nogi or MomoClo?!

-Fans of the group let's just have fun.

Fears:

-Increasing the amount competitive rhetoric with other groups from fans or members.
HKT should be more diplomatic and make more friends in the entertainment industry. That way other agencies or group managements would be more willing to work with HKT. Therefore more opportunities. I know this is very difficult to manage but HKT does have some great diplomats like Meru, Sasshi, Miku and to some degree Haruppi.

-Opportunities for individuals or senbatsu would splinter the group.
While having opportunities like Mejiza, Hakataza and the National tour is really great, but it also really split the group during those few months. Yes after this long I am still bitter about Iichan. But this is a dilemma I don't have an answer for. It would be great if they can send everyone to those venues. But the cost of travel, food and shelter is not cheap.

-Change of the HKT core values.
Like someone said before, graduation is a natural course of things in an idol group. New girls will always be added. But no matter who leaves or who stays, I never want that warm family feeling of the group to go away.

 

Could've happened this year if it weren't for the feud between AkiP and Kodansha. lol.
