He mostly picked girls who can sing decently, so I think the karaoke videos may have had an influence.

 

Finally a lineup where it's not management biased and based on singing! A handful of them are pretty good at dancing too

 

Wow I love this line up!! Gotta see the stage! Hopefully its LIT! Can't wait! Happy for the choosen member tho.

Yep, Yuiri is a great performer AND the Theater no Megami, after all. I too, was upset when she wasn't called. Definitely fit better than Jiina or Sakaguchi...

 

I don't know about Rikopi but Jiina can sing and has a funny personality for MC. I would swap out Yuihan for Yuiri to be honest. I doubt Yuihan will be in the theater for more than a couple of times but whatever. Yuiri will be performing the stage anyways. Shonichi members mean nothing ʅ（◞‿◟）ʃ

Yuihan and some upper high senbatsu members have been attending theater quite often recently (sans Mayu ofc since she's been busy with drama), unlike last year where senbatsu members practically disappeared like they never even exist in the first place. They're even scheduled to appear in BINGO this week. Then again, they will most likely disappear again during 49th single promotion.

Yoshimasa does have a good taste and I'm not surprised considering his galleries of AKB classics. Good composers tend to have a nice eyes for talent scouting too.

 

Maybe he was worried Yuiri has been overworked in the theater Maybe...

 

Would love to see Yuiri though. But the idea of a unit consists of double Yokoyama Yui is one I will certainly watch
