@Aisansan I'd bet on KNP but I'd rather have an older song like Kikyou from her first single. <3
Waiting for three whole months will be long but it will be worth it, Wasamin never disappointed so far.

no i'm sorry but no more enka versions of akb songs. covering other enka songs is fine, or give her new original enka songs, but i highly doubt that. knp will probably be done anyway...

I for one like her enka versions of AKB singles. KFC was very good in my opinion and I'd like the tradition to keep on as long as it remains bsides.

Nah, they will put an arranged AKB main song in the tracklist, but I don't mind actually, they can put as well all kayo-kyouku songs they want for my enjoyment. In the Wasa thread, Cristafari posted an article where Wasamin said she wants a happy happy enka song, and the release is during the japanese spring with all the sakura blossoming, so I expect a very pink enka single this time.

Btw, I already realized long time it that was created a whole forum for the soloists and sub-unit, but doesnt' seems isolated here located in the bottom of the board? seems like less people post around here or not even notices haha.

her enka heavy rotation is great...better than original...and love flying get as well. i dont mind enka versions since they are interesting and create a bit if interest.

if the theme is to be more happy..then a bright akb tune also.

yes her concert could actually be next year.. :(

Her Enka covers of the AKB songs are actually part of her appeal. On at least two occasions when I was talking to people casually familiar with AKB about Wasamin's solo work the first songs they wanted to hear were her AKB covers.

She will obviously have a new song, and I think we can count on KnP Enka Version. What will be really interesting is the selection of the other 2-3 tracks. Among her album and first three singles she has done a lot of old (and not so old) classics, but there are tons more famous Enka and Kayokyoku selections that I'm sure she would sound great performing. On her last single I absolutely loved Ihoujin.

my wife uses ihoujin as her ring tone.

i am thinking they must use some well know iconic attractive songs for coupling...to attract interest...as i suspect time is running out given how long between singles..

will have to buy more extra copies of this one....

    finally, yessssss

    Tomoura was phenomenal
    Ihoujin was great too

hoping she'll do something happier this time since it's Spring and it's April and not cold Winter in January

Fortunately, the cover album special site it is still alive, at the bottom page there's the list of the top100 most requested songs, if they want to make the fans happy or forge a general interest, they should take a couple of them into consideration. Here a simple short list from #14 until the #25 with some pretty good songs, a taste of Yamaguchi Momoe would be all right, musically speaking of course.

14 Mata Kimi ni Koishiteru - Sakamoto Fuyumi
15 Ii hi Tabidachi - Yamaguchi Momoe
16 Kawa no Nagare no You ni - Misora Hibari
17 Tenjou Koe - Ishikawa Sayuri
    18 Machibuse - Ishikawa Hitomi
19 Yozakura Oshichi - Sakamoto Fuyumi
20 Moshimo Piano ga Hiketa Nara - Nishida Toshiyuki
    21 Omokage - Shimazaki Yuri
22 Hito to Shite - Takeda Tetsuya
    23 Jidai - Nakajima Miyuki
    24 Tsugarukaikyou Fuyukeshiki - Ishikawa Sayuri < wasamin's sealed
    25 Akizakura - Yamaguchi Momoe
    ...

Any of these songs (and downwards) would be great with Wasamin covering it.

I think Machibuse would be perfect! Now I'm going to root for Wasamin to record that song!

One of my wildest dream is for Wasamin to record Nakajima Miyuki's Jidai or Wakareuta. Jidai is pretty likely since it's pretty high up in the Top 100 and is a pretty popular song.
I remember Kogarashi ni Dakarete being in the Top 100, I think Wasamin could make a very beautiful version of this song since her voice is basically more beautiful and stronger than Kyon's.
I'm so excited for this release, I know it will be great whatever she records.

Ah, intersting. ^^ In my country of origin we have a traditional genre of folk music and these songs are known for being almost always very melancholic so I thought the same might be true for enka. It would definitely be interesting to see Wasamin do something different from the tearjerkers she's done so far.

If she wanted to do something that sound good and is up beat and also by Hibari.....I loved this when AKB did it at her memorial anniversary, and I like the AKB arrangement best. And is in kind of the fun tempo and mood of ihoujin...with a little drama climax at the end to show off the expression and voice a bit too. The crowd loves it. And can see Wasamin have a ball with this....

    お祭りマンボ
AKB version... (Wasamin is in the group too)

if the video does not show watch the video here

if the video does not show watch the video here

And the Hibari sound and image tack used in the AKB ending...
