I find surprising they don't follow the usual AKB formula for this, with some exclusive tracks for each type.

Actually Waiting is exclusive for Type A and B, Yummy Summer for Type A, Dousurebaii for Type B and Shy Boy for WIZ*ONE.
But I agree this album feels different, I wonder if next week the profile pics will be uploaded like they did for the previous singles. If they are then we might see if there's a center and which member.
I also wonder if the songs were recorded before (I'm sure these songs were meant to be part of the 4th single) because if they were recorded not long ago then it's very likely all the production was made in Korea, which could mean that this is the first IZ*ONE JP release withou Aki-P involvement.

Lol sakura is a monster. even with how slow the business, no one is forgetting her at all. if only she is being active korea more, she has no problem gaining korean attention at all. at least japanese wotas showed that they will not forget sakura despite being away from 48g for sometime.

Yes she sold 11/63 - the list above is incorrect in that Nako's name appears a second time alongside Hitomi's total.

    (Now edited by @Zerase - thanks :))

I assume you mean album, because this is not a single.

    =========================
Btw, it's kind of weird we haven't gotten the new profile pics, usually is one week after the announcement that the start to release the profile pics before releasing the jacket covers. If they release something today, I guess it'll be all at once.

Japanese albums work differently from Korean. Usually they contain all the recently released singles plus some album tracks. There often isn’t a new music video either. There may be a “most popular” song or more featured song from an album, but it’s really not considered the same as a single.

I mean you are correct in some ways, but also not completely true.
Yes, Japanese albums usually are a collection of previously released singles plus some new songs, but almost all japanese albums, especially nowadays, definitely have a “lead track”/promotional single that is pushed as the promotional track for the album. Sometimes people refer to it as the “lead single” for an album. And it almost always gets a MV.

Obviously korean albums are usually different because each release only includes on title track and completely focus on the title track as a product As opposed to the entire album as a coherent musical release. But like I said above, Japanese albums still have that “title track” in the form of a promotional “single”.

Keep in mind that IZ*ONE is part of the same company that also manages AKB48. AKB48's album tracks don't get their own MVs. Look at these albums and their lead tracks:
    • Koko ni Ita Koto – Koko ni Ita Koto (no MV)
    • 1830m – First Rabbit (no MV)
    • Tsugi no Ashiato – no idea what the title track for this one is
    • Thumbnail – Ano Hi no Jibun (no MV)
    • Bokutachi wa, Ano Hi no Yoake wo Shitteiru – Kutsuhimo no Musubikata (no MV)
I'm not gonna lie, I'm not even one hundred per cent sure those are the lead tracks because they're so unimportant on AKB albums. However, none of the new songs on AKB albums have music videos. There are C/W songs and SNG songs but none of the NEW songs have videos
