Chaewon rumored to be in talks to join a Source Music (HYBE) upcoming girl group. Yes, the possible one that Sakura would join.

Apparently Chaewon signed back in June.

"The new girl group is believed to consist of five members, and two or three of them will be connected to Produce 48 and IZ*ONE.
There is a chance that one of the members will be a trainee who participated in Produce 48 but was not selected to be in IZ*ONE...

This girl on instagram is seemingly part of HYBE / Source Music and she's following Sakura and Chaewon on instagram. She might be another member of the upcoming group.

This also explains Sakura's current limbo situation. Just yesterday, one of my mutuals on twitter pointed out how weird it is that Sakura graduated immediately, only for her to do nothing but photoshoots and interviews where she talks mostly about being an idol. It seems like HYBE and Vernalossom can't reach an agreement over her, so now she's graduated from HKT48 because of HYBE, but not left for Korea yet because of Vernalossom. One (or both?) of the agencies is now getting her these gigs to make sure she stays in the loop and doesn't lose out on her current hype.

If she wants to be part of that girl group, I hope the situation resolves itself soon. As for that third possible member, I'll support whatever decision she makes; whether it's acting or an idol career. It could really be either Hyewon or Minju. I think Minju has a better chance at making it as an actress, Hyewon seems more the modelling than acting type. So if it's Minju, I would probably recommend acting to her, and if it's Hyewon, I'd recommend choosing HYBE's group. But it's not like my recommendation will have any real impact, since there's a 0.000001% chance they would ever read this

I'm curious as to Chaewon's current contractual situation. If she's been signed to HYBE since June, what has she been doing for Woollim all this time? She uploaded a cover of an IU song a month ago, and recently had a photoshoot for profile pictures with them...?

 

I read somewhere it's something along the like of "confidential agreement between two company" she might not leave woollim 100% and we can't forget vlive gonna gone soon with it became weverse exclusive , it might be that kind of deal just like hybe do with yg . But on a smaller scale(just a group).
